New Mech User Looking for Some Assistance

Hey guys & gals, so payday is Thursday & I've already got my local shop holding my next buy for me. I'm going to buy an Overdose Clone, Copper Plume Veil Clone, & about 3 more purple 2500 Efest 18650's. A little insight on what I'm moving up from is a iTaste VTR with a UD AGA-T6. I know how drippers work and all, I'm just kinda looking for personal advice on how I should run this mech. I've been running anything from .9 ohm dual coils to 2.1 dual coils in my T6, so coil making is no problem.

So I guess what I'm getting at is:
1) What gauge Kanthal A-1 would you recommend?
2) Any recommended ohms?
3) What's your favourite coil build?
4) Would a cotton wick with an area of ss mesh be alright in this?

Any info you can pass along would be great.

4) Rayon...best wick there is, IMHO

Make sure before you build that you have the needed tools, like an ohm reader. That is the most important tool you could have...

I've got a modified dmm with threaded 510 connector already set up with +/- .01% accuracy. Been doing my T6 coils for over a month now & loving it. Thanks so much for your input I was going to go with 28ga,

What kind of DVM is that? I have a couple Fluke 77's that only have 0.1 Ω resolution. Good enough for troubleshooting, but it isn't really enough for coil resistance readings. I wouldn't be surprised if both a 4 wrap coil and a 6 wrap coil gave you the same readings. You really should get a dedicated 510 ohmmeter that resolves to 0.01 Ω. They're only like $15. Multimeters have a lot of hysteresis and lead resistance that don't work well measuring low resistance.

I'm planning on picking one up on payday, as well as an inline voltmeter with load testing capabilities. Which I'll probably modify to have a copper tube too...I'm kinda ocd & a stickler for matching °n.n

Alright everyone, I greatly appreciate all your help. I'm running my Overdose with my Plum Veil Clone RDA on top. Under the hood I'm running dual parallel 5 wrap 3.5mm ID 26ga Kanthal A1 coils. I'm using organic Japanese cotton right now. I keep 4 eFest 18650 2500mah batteries (5 if you include the one in the mod) & plenty of fluid options on hand at all time. Still gotta get my inline voltmeter, & the ohm reader. Gotta wait until next payday for those xP
