Hi I've been vaping awhile now. Used to be about a 3/4 pack a day smoker, I tried the cheaper e cigs that you find at gas stations twice but kept going back to cigs. I heard a commercial for a vape shop and decided to give it a chance. I bought a kangaroo starter kit with evod battery and t3s tank from monstervape and a flavor called Italian smooth (70/30 pg/vg 18 mg/ml) I've loved the flavor so far and haven't wanted to go back to cancersticks yet.

Since I can use it inside and I don't feel guilty, I've found in vaping a lot more than I smoke. It's also weird because it doesn't go out I don't really know when to stop lol not really a question just an observation

so I've had this one for awhile and have been thinking about upgrading to a good glass tank. Am I right in assuming that I cant use the subtank. What about the pro tank

I'll be browsing and maybe posting here some trying to get caught up on this stuff. I can't believe how technical some of this stuff is like modding and all of that. It's a bit overwhelming. Thanks!

Hi TexasRed, Welcome to ECF!

Congrats on making the switch!

You're correct... sorta.
You might be able to use the SubTank with the 1.2ohm coil, but that's really pushing your batteries limit so I really would not recommend it. I seriously doubt it would fire with the resistance that low.
You could use a Kanger ProTank, especially the PT Mini...with a 1.5 - 1.8 ohm head it would work fine. It's eGo threaded and would be streamlined on your battery.

Hey there, and congrats! I'm new to vaping myself, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. I got ahold of a Kanger protank mini 2, and I LOOOOOVE it. It's single coil, which I prefer with my kanger evod, Ipow, and vision spinner 2 batts, and I just love the way it vapes. Inexpensive, also. But again, I'm new to this, so keep exploring the forum to find ideas!

And yes, I also find myself chain vaping when not smoking the analogs. Drink lots of water!

I used a mini protank 2 for my first 6 months of vaping ( all while using it on a itaste vv 3.0) and I thought it was the bees knees. I actually got a second one so I could rotate the flavors. I also always used the 2.5 ohm coils as well. It wasn't until I got a Nautilus (5ml tank) that I started using 1.6-1.8 ohm coils (which were dual coils). "Recently" they came out with BVC coils for the nautilus which brings the vaping to a whole next level of performance - better flavor, better vape production, and a much longer lasting performance per coil.

Currently I'm rotating between the nautilus and an aerotank (1.5 ohm dual coil) and can't imagine vaping without a nautilus within arms reach!

Thanks, it seems like the portank is what I will go with but I'll wait a little bit for some more people to give their 2 cents before ordering. Protank ii or pro tank 3? Will they both work?

Also I've found this thread very helpful in my transition. It's all in the technique, using the right technique vaping is a lot more flavorful than cigarettes actually and not having the right technique may have been part of the reason I couldn't stick with the gas station e cigs (that and they didn't taste very good to begin with)

Well apparently I can't post links, but it's the "inhalation technique with an e-cigarette" thread on this forum by rolygate

Would the nautilus tanks work with my evod? I'm kind of confused because I click on "ego-tanks" category on myvaporstore.com and the nautilus come up, but it says they are 510 threaded, same with the protanks. I thought that the 510 thread and the ego thread were opposites and incompatible

Well I got the nautilus mini in, (the spinner is still on the way)

I have to admit I'm at least a little bit disappointed. The airflow is very tight even on the highest setting, I'm not trying to get huge clouds or anything, but the tight hole kind of gives me a sensation of pressure in my head, and less of a throat hit. Maybe things will be better when I get the spinner 2 idk. I've seen people saying they drilled the holes out or removed the air control ring completely. I might consider that if the spinner doesn't make things better. I've also seen people say even removing the afc doesn't help much because the coil hole is also pretty small, so idk. Maybe I could get ahold of the some of the older coils that apparently had a bigger hole but didn't last as long. Not sure if they still make them

But the taste is very good and I get a lot of vapor production with little effort. If only the air flow was better it would be an excellent tank.

tight airflow was even worse 2 years ago.
with both tanks and drippers, making the airflow tighter is always possible, but opening up the airflow usually hits a limit based on the design of the tank.
With drippers you usually have a wider airflow available.
