Hi everyone, I'm a brand-new member here, and glad to be joining the community! I've been vaping for approximately 3 weeks now. I would tell you about my setup, but I'm not entirely sure of what I have. My battery (I guess is what you call it) says Smok on the bottom and is variable voltage. My tank (I guess is what you call it) says KangerTech Evod, which I'm seeing the names frequently posted about in the threads.

I have three major questions:

1. I vape a flavor called Western Menthol purchased from a local shop here in St. Louis and it is the closest feel that I've gotten to my actual cigarettes, Marlboro 72 blue. I'm assuming from the setup I have along with the juice combo, that I have a pretty strong hit. I sit at 4.0v or slightly higher every day to get that hit. But, every couple of days I have to replace my wick (I think that's it?), so is this normal?

2. I saw a website somewhere on this forum that had bottles of juice for sale. The site itself was pretty "trendy" looking and the bottles looked kind of punk, if that makes sense. I know that's a vague description, but I'd like to know what that website was, if anyone knows.

3. When sampling new juices, do I really need to replace the wick every time? If I don't like it, I feel like I've wasted a perfectly good wick for 5 minutes of vaping.

Id like to venture out and try new flavors but everything that I've tried doesn't provide me a strong enough hit because I have to turn my voltage down, or if I keep it up, it just tastes burnt. Ver frustrating experience! So I'm wondering if maybe I order some juices online, I might find something that I like.

Again, I'm thrilled to be here and look forward to learning!

1: tobacco e-liquids will trash a coil faster than most other liquids (for the most part) i have some DIY tobacco liquid that runs just fine for weeks in my EVOD. 2 days of heavy use sounds about right for most tobacco flavorings.

how often do you vape?

3. you do not need to change the coil out if you change flavors. some people like to soak them in high proof booze if they really hate the flavor or its just gunked up. just make sure its dry before you try to fire it. (1 or 2 days air dry time) this will only work so many times. you will still need to replace the coil when its totally done.

By changing your "Wicks" you mean changing the heads of your Evod. The heads contains the wicks and coil (the thing that heats up the liquid)

Do you happen to know the resistance of these heads by any chance?

Different juices may be thicker or thinner. So sometimes one liquid may soak up the wicks of your evod perfectly while other thicker ones may not. If your wicks are not fully saturated with liquid, it will taste like crap.

There are ways around this:

1 - Turn the voltage down (like you are doing and get a weaker hit)

2 - Remove the flavor wicks of your evod. By removing them you will allow more liquid to reach the wick/coil assembly. However you might end up flooding your atomizer if your liquid is too thin compared to the amount of wick you removed.

Here is a good video about your evod tank:

And here are a few of my favorite juice vendors:
