Hello everyone
I have limited experience with the e-cig. I tried a brand called Cigotine at first (Nov of 2009) because it could be bought in local malls as well as online. I quit tobacco cigarettes right away (after 40yrs!), and was pretty satisfied. I probably would have stayed with them except for issues with mechanics of the product (several bad batteries, poor quality chargers, that kind of thing), and the stores not keeping good stocks of cartridges. So I am now trying Blu, but so far I'm just not satisfied. They produce a lot of vapor, but any taste is pretty much gone after maybe 10 hits on a cartridge. I need taste! Feels like I'm just sucking air all the time, and I'm going through cartridges way too fast because of that. So that's my story, and I'll be trying to find a product that suits me. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to keep buying starter kits, so I have to live with what I have for awhile. But I hope to get some good recommendations here.:)

Check out the "Riva 510" from libertyflights.com . I bought a starter kit for around 30 bucks .... it comes with two big "fat" batteries, 2 atomizers , 10 empty carts and charger. Been very happy with the vapor production and battery life(over 8 hrs).

I agree with this statement. I think that ecigs have come a long way since 2009 but not so sure about those mall brands :)

Those are "3 piece" right? Never used them. But I think maybe they might be better. Both of the ones I have tried are 2-piece. What is a 'fat' battery? And why do they give you empty cartridges? Do you buy the stuff to fill them somewhere else?
Sorry, but as you can see, I don't really know much about them.

I'm pretty new to this myself, but when I started buying juice and refilling cartos . . . wow! This opened up a whole new world of flavors. I get 50/50 pg/vg mixes from freedomsmokeusa.com and I have loved most of them. The cartos I had been using were 100% pg, and they were OK, but the mix gives much better vapor IMHO. I love being able to mix my own flavors. For example, I mix Snickerz, Heath, and Coco Chaos; I call it "Death By Chocolate". I also like French Toast and Coffee together. The possibilities are endless!

I'm currently shopping for new batteries/mods. I started out with V2, and while their products were . . . good overall, I guess, it would always take weeks to get my shipments. Since I discovered this forum and learned about all the other providers out there, I have been ordering batteries and cartos from vapor4life.com. I always get what I ordered in days.

BTW, Refilling cartos is much easier than it sounds. I use a dental pick to pull out the little white mouthpiece (white in my case, I don't know if they are all white) and just drip down the side. I am using KR808D1 batteries and cartos.

There are so many choices, I'm sure you can find something right for you.

Yes they are 3 piece .... battery , then atomizer then cartridge. With the 3 piece you have to buy the "juice" to put in it. The "fat" battery is about twice the size of the "cigotine" model you have. Almost looks like a cigar that tapers down to the size of a real cig but lasts alot longer than the real cig sized ones. Libertyflights.com does sell the "juice" to put in the empty carts... as does a hundred other vendors you will find around ECF. Please PM me if you have any questions about ordering or whatever,,,, i'm new here too but i may be able to help you.

Ok, I'm going to go to the stickys and see if there is a glossary of terms, lol Between cartos, cartomizers, vg/pg, mods, etc .... I need to be sure what everyone is talking about Guess I will be using my lousy Blu cigs until I figure it out more. Jeez, life used to be so simple .... buy a pack, light up, and go ..... until the government raised the cost so much you need a loan to buy a carton

Try the KR808D-1 model. It's a 2-piece (battery+cartomizer) and it's super-easy to use. It also works really well. I'd recommend a manual XL battery; stay away from auto batteries. Vapor4Life is a great place to buy the e-cig.

Alternately you may want to consider the IGo, which is the 808 version in a "fat battery." I've read/watched so many good reviews about it that I just ordered one for myself!

I started with the Blu also. I didn't mind the short battery life because I purchased an extra battery and kept changing and charging among the 3 of them. My issue was the same as yours - the cartomizers lacked flavor after a few puffs, Early on, Blu had a sale and I ordered 10 packs (40 cartos) of the menthol cartomizers. I asked customer service if I could exchange the 10 unopened packs for a flavor that was stronger, but was informed all sales were final. That was the deal breaker for me. Had the customer service been a little better, I might still be a customer. But it worked out - all is well. Blu helped me get off analogs. I am extremely pleased with my Riva 510, which I purchased from Liberty Flights. I can use up the Blu menthol cartomizers (someday).
