Well I have been analog cigarette free for 2 weeks now. Been vaping for the last week. I purchased a SMOK Ego 510 starter kit. I am enjoying it, and have purchased a bunch of different e juice for it. The only thing I have noticed that I don't like about the kit is the cartomizer. I have noticed that over time it will leak, clog up, and will actually cause the juice to come through the mouth piece. The taste is obviously pretty disgusting.

It is starting to get expensive with replacing these cartomizers. Am I doing something wrong, is there a way to clean these without destroying it. If there is not a way to do this, I guess I could go different route.

I am looking into getting the clearomizer tanks for it, but being new there are so many ways to go it is confusing.

What are you 510 users going with that you have found to be the most effective way. Or should I give up on the 510 and go with a completely different style.

Last question, what is the little round clear disc that comes with the tanks, and am I supposed to be using this somewhere. I have just been throwing them out. The instructions that came with the kit are lacking to say the least.

Appreciate any and all answers.

I found the clearomizer change from cartomizers to be the biggest difference/improvement in vaping since I started a year and a half ago. Of course everyone's mileage may vary and I'm sure lots of people have issues with the clearos, but they have been a godsend for me, and the juice tastes so much better in my opinion. They still will every now and then leak and such as they get older but overall they work really well for me. I mainly vape on EGO-T passthrough type batts just for reference.

On the carts you can put that rubber piece back in after filling, and make sure you aren't over-filling them as thats a sure fire way to get juice on your lips. You want them to be pretty wet but not flooded.

Clearomizers are definitely the way to go. There are a bunch of amazing vendors that I know of that sell CE Clearo's and tanks if you would like me to link you a few.
Don't give up, I love eGO's more than any other set up I have had in the past. You just need to look around. Vivi Novas are great tanks. I have one of those for long days and I just use regular CE4 clearo's for an every day vape. I honestly don't see the need in going into fancy stuff. My disposables last well over three weeks. You just need to take care of your set-up..cleaning and all.
Little round disks? The only thing I can think of is the rubber drip-tip stopper? Is it small of big?

Newer clearos have replaceable heads in them, I totally recommend those. I'm still using the first one I bought like that about 6 months ago, can just replace the heads and wicks as needed, it's super easy too. The local shop I get them from calls them CE5's but I hardly see that mentioned on this site, I think they are similar to the Kanger T3's. One thing you'll learn quick is that there are many different names for the same thing all over the place, it is definitely not helpful for beginners.

I use clearomizers as well and I love them. I can put in enough juice for the day and I'm all set. My only complaint with the SMOK clearomizers is there are 2 kinds. One seemed to have a 5050 rate of being duds and they weren't rebuildable. The other kind IS rebuildable but the problem with this is the bottom of the tank slides off, it's not threaded. And from time to time this will just work itself off when my rig is in my pocket. It's not that much liquid the pain is when I'm not home and this happens and I don't have more liquid on me to refill it. My local place only sells SMOK brand though. Had to order more liquid this week but next week I am gonna try out the T2 and T3 clearomizers, lots of good reviews on here.

They are small, the guy who I bought them from finally answered back on my email and he said you just throw away the disks that come with it.

I just found a brick and mortar store near me called Vaperite. I am going to stop by otw home and see what they have. Thanks for the suggestion.
