I just got my first PV from Jack on friday (bloog maxxfusion) and like you Alvin, now I'm waiting anxiously for my nic juice to get here (hopefully it does). Still I think it's amazing how I've already cut down on analogs and I didn't intend to.

It can be surprising. I didn't start off with any particular plan or schedule. I bought my first PV and some nic juice just to see if it would work at all. I'd read a ton on the subject before ordering, but in the end there's no substituting real personal experience. But what happened surprised me more than anything possibly could: I completely quit cigarettes the night it arrived. Didn't even miss them. I was gobsmacked. It's why I ultimately started hanging around here obsessively hoping to help as I was helped in the beginning and help to turn people on to this amazing little world.

    in a cave, eh?
I can't believe people are still eyeballing the Blu. :(

If you need something that looks like a cigarette, consider a Volt from BestVapour.com or a KR808D-1 kit from CdnVapor.ca. A PCC is a nice accessory to have because the battery life isn't great. HappyVaper also sells the Bloog (Volt, Bloog and KR808D-1 are basically the same product), but they're kind of pricey.

If you're ok with something a little bigger, the eGo is a good kit to start with. You can get one from HappyVaper or NicFitNation. Two really big advantages of an eGo over a KR808D-1: battery life is much better and you can try low-resistance atomizers and cartomizers to get more flavour out of your e-cigarette.

And HappyVaper and madvapes (an American site) are good sites for lots of cool accessories.

The aforementioned recommendations are based on ordering from Canada.

Thanks bob! I actually went ahead and ordered the Volt from BestVapour. Grabbed a few nic-juices as well. Ordered on the weekend, and I am hoping it comes in very soon! Excited to get her to try it, and get more of our friends off the analogs!

She smokes "Ultra Lights" I thought 12mg Nicotine was a good starting point?

Hi and welcome Don't forget the atomizer in your kit is shipped with a primer in it. It tastes like crap. Blow it out then put a few drops of juice on it and take a few drags without inhaling. It should start to clear up soon. Good luck and have fun while you quit.

Lol kinda learned my lesson on the atomizer, didn't know that and then realized it because i washed it out.

If you need nic juice suppliers from canada let me know by PM, let me know how your bloog goes.

Congrats Alvin!!! you wont regret it!!!! The ego kit is very versatile to whatever route you take youre good!!!!
    Thanks so much!

Congrats, Alvin! Another Canuck chiming in. Vaping almost a year now, got my first eGo kit from Jack at Happy Vaper as well, and until recently I kept using the eGo the entire time -- different atties, tanks and cartos (the tanks just didn't work for me -- none of them) but the eGo never failed to give me a good vape. I only upgraded to VV recently to step it up a few notches and have loved it so far, but the eGo got me here and it did it with gusto. You really can't go wrong with an eGo, I think that eventually (if not right away) everyone gets an eGo to add to their arsenal. It's great as a primary, and it's the perfect backup if you upgrade beyond it. It can use all 510 accessories and all eGo accessories, so it's quite versatile even without getting into adapters, and 510 and eGo stuff is available pretty well everywhere, so you'll never have to worry about replacement parts of any stripe.

And if this ridiculous situation with Health Canada can be reversed and resolved I think we'll have a great and thriving vaping industry with wide availability, too.

Good luck with your new kit, whatever you get. You'll love it.

Yes i'm very happy with the kit so far, and hoping more exposure to e-cigs can wake up Health Canada and solve this whole issue.

    hey alvin81,

I too am just like you regarding the 1/2 pack a day thing. I'm just waiting to get my posts in so I have the opportunity to check out the Canadian forum. Quick question for you...being as you are also relatively new to this, are you able to recommend the top three PV that you have either found, or have been suggested to you. I personally want something in black, (I know color doesn't really matter, more of a preference I guess).
    Looking forward to your reply.

the eGo kit is the one everyone recommended or if you want something smaller a 510 but has decreased battery life. Either one of those are good since parts are interchangeable with each other. I ordered from Happy Vaper got my order in 1 day as they ship from Toronto.

one day hunh...happy vapor it is then. Just one quick question, i probably know the answer, but, i was on a site and all it didn't actually say the juice had nicotine in it, it just said concentration. Is it safe to assume that they mean concentration of nicotine. I know that question might sound stupid, I just want to be sure of what I'm ordering. Thx.

If you're referring to Happy Vaper, then no, his juices have no nicotine in them. You'll have to pick one of the ones off "the list" of Canadian vendors that do carry nic liquids. However, other vendors I have seen in Canada do use the word "concentration" and in those cases, yes, that's the nic content.

    thanks mindfield,

I was specifically looking at one particular site. And it was Best Vapour Canada. Hope I don't get in trouble for posting the name. Feel free to answer here or PM me if you think that's a better idea.

    THX.

Yeah, that's exactly what they mean by concentration. :) Check the juice review forum. Danesnpits recently reviewed a couple of their juices.
