New member from Indiana

Hello all, new member here from Indiana. I've quit smoking analogs pretty much now for a week I've had maybe 5 real ones over a week.

Now I have a dilemma, I have 2 regular Ego's and an Ego 1000 Mah twist. I've got 2 clear tanks, an Ego vision and one similar to the stardust. I also decided to buy a 3.5 ml cartomizer tank, can't remember the brand/name.

The first fill on all of them was pretty decent, but I find after I clean them, the vapor production is cut in half or more and can't seem to get them to work any better. This is making it pretty tough to continue to vape and not smoke regular cigarettes.

The regular ego atomizer/base I have tried regular atomizers, LR atomizers and they are just plain awful.

Anyone have any suggestions for an actual true good vape solution?

Why would they need to be cleaned immediately after the first fill is done?

(If this is usual for you carto users, maybe you could chime in here.)

With the cartos I've tried it was a matter of filling them a few times and then chucking them when the draw went south and the taste got worse. Not that the taste was ever that great for me and the reason I stick with dripping usually.

Jon5212, I know you're not getting much response here so I would invite you to look at my sig links. The Hoosier Vapers hosts and attends vape meets all over the state and attending one could be a huge help for you. The meets are free and the club is free so you have little to lose. There are also quite a number of vapers in Indy and I know 4 off the top of my head that are in the area and are very helpful. I can think of more near you that are just helpful if "very" helpful is too much.

From what I've learned using the clear tanks with the dual coil cartos.. Make sure you're priming the carto before first use and making sure its nice and moist.. Then you can refill your tank without needing to clean anything for at least 2 weeks if you're using a lighter liquid but less if you have a heavier or darker liquid. Since I punch some pretty large holes in my cartos they're kind of a pain in the ___ to change so I try not to even take them out til they're completely burnt which then of course I just chuck them and punch a new one

Welcome Jon! As Hoosier mentioned, you can use cartos for a pretty long time before needing to chuck them.

I am a huge DCT and carto tank user. It is usually my all day vape. I typically get two to three weeks before losing quality depending.

But anyways, the thing I'm finding is almost all of the juices I've received don't really seem to have much flavor. I've got a coconut 50/50 and a Halo Mint one which are "decent" but nearly all the rest you can barely taste them and as far as I know my taste works great.

Welcome Jon! I'm a Hoosier also, and a member of Hoosier Vapers. I'm strickly a tank user myself. I have 5 tanks that I use and I switch out cartos once a week. Like others have said, you don't have to clean cartos out after each use. I just keep refilling my tanks for a week, and then switch out the cartos at the end of the week, because by then, for me, the taste starts to get alittle off. Wish you had joined a few weeks ago. The last meetup was at my house! Going to a vapemeet is helpful because you get to meet other vapers and see what they are using and doing. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the near future on our subforum....after you get your post count up.

When I first started vaping my taste buds were dead, but they change the longer you go without an analog. Once you find some flavors you really love you'll be good to go. I would suggest either buying several little bottles to sample....or there are brick and mortar vape stores in Indy. If you go there you can sample everything they have! Another option is to learn how to DIY your juice. Some people like strong flavor, like myself, and some don't. Maybe you need a higher % of flavoring in your juice. Some vendors sell juice with higher flavoring being an option, and you can also do this if you DIY.

Awesome thank you Kay, now I'll have to admit I do have a high stress job, and maybe once or twice a week I'll smoke a couple analogs just to get the edge off but vaping has pretty much let me quit 99% right now.

And hope you have another meet at your house I'd love to come and meet some others from the area.

I have been vaping for a year now and I have yet to clean a carto/Stardust/atomizer...I use them till they quit and toss them. I think the biggest issue is people don't get them completely dry before trying to use them after the do clean them.

Hope this helps. I use wet burns mostly except for my vivi nova. I use grain alcohol and also a water pick. Seems to help.

Well just ordered some juice from backwoods brew after reading some reviews. I've been getting my juice from another supplier and just not quite too happy. They are OK but figured I'd give another company a shot.

Also ordered a different cartomizer to try, still have my two clearomizer setups. I ordered Vanilla Bean, Malty and Honey flue nut tobacco.

I bought some Halo Kringle's curse and at first I did enjoy it... but now it almost seems to have a "sour" taste almost to it?
