Hello from Seattle. I have been vaping for about 8 months, and lurking on these forums for quite some time. I have virtually replaced my smoking habit with vaping, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I started out with Blu, and while I was very impressed at first I soon realized the downsides to that type of PV. I really liked the small form factor of the Blu, and the PCC made the short battery life manageable. Very occasionally my PCC would run dead, or I would experience some other issue that would force me to find a real cigarette to get my fix. The expense of having to buy Blue cartomizers constantly really got to me, so I did some more research and found Volcano. I very much enjoyed the refillable nature of the Volcano cartomizers and they worked on my Blue batteries, so I had my solution, or so I thought. After 2 months or so, I was not happy with the longevity of the Volcano Cartomizers either, as some would last for 5 or more refills, some would only last 2 refills, and rarely some wouldn’t work very well at all. I really liked the Volcano Eliquids, and still buy from them.

I am now happily using and eGo, dripping at home and at work and using Smoketech Dual Coil Mega cartomizers when driving or out and about. I am finally over needing a device that is the same size as an analog, and I have gotten my monthly costs down to about $50/month. I have branched out to different eliquid suppliers, and I am expecting my order from BWB to arrive any minute.

I successfully converted my father over to an Ego recently, and I am happy to report he hasn’t had a cig in over two months. He was a 2 pack a day smoker for over 30 years.

I look forward to contributing what I can to these forums.

Cheers!

Wow, thank you for all the warm welcomes.

I love to vape at work, and as a small business owner and partner it was a bit awkward to vape in front of my employees and my business partner at first. They have all warmed up to it, and it is rare to catch me without my PV in my hands (unless cleints are present). My productivity has increased quite a bit, as I have no need to step outside for a smoke, and I don't show up to meetings and presentations reeking of smoke anymore. My Boss (majority partner) has embraced my habit, and we have had some pretty interesting conversations about Vaping.

Living in King County where Vaping in public places is not allowed has been interesting. Most bars and restaurants don't seem to care much, but a few places have firmly mentioned that I am only allowed to smoke outside and that includes Ecigs. I usually am pretty stealthy about it, and it hasn't been much of an issue. Besides many of my friends smoke, so i can still involve my self socially out side in the smoking sections without being uncomfortable or smoking just to be able to include myself.

Over the summer I attended a friends wedding, and the afteparty was at the rooftop deck of the grooms condo building. We were all outside enjoying the sun and the view of elliot bay, and I was using my Blue. The condo association has a very strict no smoking policy on the community deck. I didn't think much of it, and I was sharing my blue with many of the smokers at the party. I struck up a conversation with the maid of honor, and she loved to be able to share my Blu with me to avoid having to go out to the street to smoke. She is a very attractive young woman, and let's just say my Blu was a great icebreaker to start a very enjoyable eveing ;-). One of the other residents of the condo came up to me at one point and very rudely pointed out the no smoking signs, and added "and that includes electronic cigarettes." I tried to explain why vaping was so different, and that i would not leave behind any ash, cig butts, and there was virtually no smell. She didn't take very kindly to my challenging their rules. The pretentious people in some part of this city never cease to amaze me in their close mindedness.

Hey, has anyone seen the mailman? I am anxious to get my BWB order. Well, if you see him, tell him to hurry up dammit, I need a new flavor!!

'til next time...
