Hi everyone, Im Jon and new to the e-cig forum and world....

Have been puffing on various imitation Ego's for the last month or two and finally got fed up of their unreliability so went and bought myself the eVic with 3ohm coil upgrades, 2 tanks for each flavour, 4 spare coils, 2 x 3400mA batteries, Trust fire Charger, Mains USB charger and think that was it!!

Very happy with the new system, my first variable voltage system and finally getting the powerful hit and lots of vapour I wanted. :vapor:

Could somebody tell what kind of tank I have from the avatar photo?

Also, Im interested to know the difference between VV, VW, RV1, RV2, RV3, etc.

I'm guessing VV is variable voltage and vw variable wattage - but do they make a difference to the power in which one you use?

Kindest Regards,

Jon. :)

Hi there Jon, and welcome!

With your eVic, you'll have the ability to choose between VV and VW.

What I have found (in my limited experience) is that setting your mod to wattage (and RMS) then allows the circuitry in your mod to adjust the voltage to properly give you the appropriate wattage to your atomizer/cartomizer/etc. and (for folks like myself who don't fiddle with settings once we've got it how we like it) it is the simplest "set and forget" method. Having your juice(s) in consistent tanks/cartos/etc. makes this even easier.

For those who use a lot of different tanks/cartos/atomizers, and who like tweaking in order to "chase the sweet spot" VV is their preferred setting on their mod. It gives them the ability to easily (and quickly) alter voltage and adapt according to taste and vapor production.

Neither is "better" or "worse" and is more a matter of personal preference and routine.

Hi Jon, there are far cheaper places to buy from than TW. Hve a look at some of the good UK e-cig & e-liquid vendors on this list (includes some discount codes) -

Wow, thanks for that awesome link Chrissie, will check them out. :2cool:

DJSVapour - I got 20% discount on my entire purchase (saved about £47 I think, costing me £140ish)...

I have to say they have the upper hand in the market as far as I can see as they are the only shop I've come across that lets you sample different juices, and they take the time to make you feel comfortable and educate you as needed.

I'm still wary of ordering juices online if I've never tried their brand as I don't want a delivery of stuff I have to bin if its awful.

Bill_H_in_TX - Thanks for your advice, that helps me a lot knowing... I guess Im still new to VV devices hence sitting with the VV option and adjusting it almost constantly as I feel I need more of a hit on one puff than I do the next. Think I just like playing with my new toy too lol :)

chapeltown - Thanks :)

TW aren't the only shop that let you sample different juices, most of the good ones do :)

Lately, I've been buying my e-liquids from Joose-Juice. 10ml samplers for only £1.49 & they are doing BOGOF on the 30ml bottles -

Which store do you go to? If they really let you try out liquids, I'll be there next Saturday.
