Hi all, new here so might as well start out with a brief intro about my vaping history. Before I started vaping I was a smoker who smoked about 3 cigarettes a day. Even though I was not a heavy smoker I knew smoking is bad for me and after seeing my friend successfully quit smoking after he picked up vaping I wanted to give it a try. I got into vaping about 2 years ago from my friend's custom build box mod. Through him and the internet I learn a bit more about e-cig and decide to go on FastTech to get myself 2 eGo batteries and couple protanks. The setup was OK~ish and I was not getting that satisfying vaper I enjoy from my friend’s mod. Because box mod was so expensive back then I went ahead and got myself a Nemesis clone with 4 18650 batteries and a RDA. The setup was good but too much work on my part. I had to carry my own spare battery without knowing how much power is left in the one that is already in the mod, I had to carry my own bottle of juice, and the most annoying part of all is I had to drip every single time I vape. I love my RDA when I’m trying out new juice but not as a daily vape.

Now the mod technology has gotten better and cheaper I think I am ready for the next setup. I want a subtank with a box mod but not sure which one I should go for considering I have a history of making wrong decision. I like the MVP 3.0 pro for it’s large power capacity while it can be use to charge my phone. However I also love the Sigelei mini 30W’s small size and the ability to put my 18650 to use.

Hello and welcome to the forum @sagaemia. Glad to have you here!:)

How much power do you need?
What ohm coil were you using on your RDA with your mech mod? This would tell you how much power you were using.

The MVP 3 Pro goes up to 60 watts (power) and has a 4500 mAh internal battery (battery life).

What about the ipv mini 2? Or the new d2? I have the mini 2 and love the size and form factor, and it works really well. The only con is the paint so I got a silicon sleeve. There's also the sigelei 75w tc, my friend just got one for 50 bucks. There's so many options now and they're all pretty damn good. It's less about what works well and more about what has the features you want. Vaporbeast has the delta 2 for like 15 bucks right now if you want a tank. The rba deck is separate but totally worth it.

I'm sure I don't need the whole 60W that MVP offer. I was building 0.5ohm single coil and 0.3 duel coil on the RDA

I did consider the IPV mini 2 not sure how i will like the round off feel vs. full square box. Oh and I don't think I am ready for TC yet. Waiting for the technology to get better first

On a fully charged battery (4.2v) you are vaping at:

1. 35.28 watts when using a 0.5Ω build
2. 58.8 watts when using a 0.3Ω build.

@dcfluegel THANKS!! ill take a look

@dcfluegel , @Maffdavies i am considering a subtank mini, not really digging the subbox tho, not sure why. maybe the look
I ain't got the subox but I thought I would say it as I love the sub tank mini And you get it as a full kit. I have the mvp 3 and I have no faults with it, battery lasts me a good few days

I'm surprised no one recommended the Evic-VT.

60W mod so it will work fine with a subtank, and a 5000 mAh battery pack that will last longer than virtually any other mod out there. You shouldn't have any problems going close to 2 days between charges if you wanted. And with USB charging you don't have to wait before the battery is fully drained before recharging it, nor do you need to wait until the battery is fully charged before using it. Just charge it when you can and know you've got a ton of battery life if you can't.

Plus it has temperature control.
