Background:
Hey everyone, whats up?
My name is Joe.
I'll be on the ecf a lot now, so I wanted to really introduce myself to the regulars.
A little background about myself: I'm 20 years young and I'm from New England. (The States)
I was a pack a day smoker for 6 years. For the past year, I've been rolling my own. (worse!)
Every night I went to sleep wheezing in my girlfriends ears. Every morning I hacked and sat in pain. My right lung KILLS me when I smoke, and I have no idea why, but I had to quit.

E-Cig Experience:
My first e-cig was a manual 510 from a local cigar shop... But I went back to analogues when I ran out of juice! That was over a year ago, but I'm feeling like I need to stay off cigarettes even more now. So I hit the mall and bought a NuvoCig. I'm using the kiwi/18mg juice from RockyMtVapor I bought a year ago. Anyway, I REALLY like my NuvoCig. It works great, efficient, and it looks good too. Good vapor/Throat Hit. I'm just really wondering what type of e-cig it really is. I haven't found any posts about this. I know, I know, I should have gotten a 510/901/4080/90817465, but I decided to go with Nuvo because they are a 10min walk away. I'll make a thread on why I think they are a good company/e-cig soon.

Questions:
1. If anyone knows what the NuvoCig is compatible with, that'd really help!
2. What is a good Menthol Tobacco flavored e-juice? I search, and see menthol, or tobacco threads, but not many menthol tobacco flavored juice "Top Picks" threads.

Summary:
All in all, I like the NuvoCig better than my old 510. (Which, has stopped working. Both batteries must have died from inactivity. Neither charge. One of the attys sizzles, but no vapor. So, I'd like to know where I can buy spare carts/attys/cartomizers for the NuvoCig. ANY help would definitely be appreciated. Thanks for reading guys!

Please introduce yourself? I'd definitely like to make some friends here. See ya around the ecf.

-Plume

For your first question, I would have said it was an RN4081 but I just saw a thread here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-nuvocig-atty-clogged-sticky-cotton-help.html saying they had an rn4081 and it's not interchangeable.

Guess that means it's a one of a kind.

It's stuff like this that makes me doubt they're in it for the customer on a legit level: "Cartridges are sold in packs of 5, so you are getting the equivalent of 5 packs of cigarettes with every cartridge pack you purchase"

You wont get anywhere near a pack of cigarettes in a tiny cartridge like that. If it took you 20 puffs of your ecigs to smoke a pack you'd be near dead just touching the liquid let alone inhaling it.

If you want to stick with cigarette lookalikes, the Kr808d-1 is miles ahead of all the other cig lookalikes. Can grab one from smokelessimage, bloogplanet, v4l, halocigs or I'm sure a lot of other places.

Thanks guys. This is definitely interesting. Its a mystery what model number this thing is!
I can say one thing. I put 1 of my old 510 attys on a new Nuvo Battery, and it did produce vapor. But it pooped out after the 1st couple pulls, probably because it was such an old atty.

leftfield: I also really hate companies that make that false claim, but, 75 to 80% of them do unfortunately. I mean, I was a pack a day smoker, and, a prefilled cart COULD last me a day... But by the end of the day, the vapor is greatly reduced. Which meant the nicotine level was greatly reduced. (This was with the 510 prefilled carts) Um, when it comes to NuvoCigs prefilled cartos, I've never actually used their carto until it went dry on me, haha. The one I'm using right now was filled with their menthol flavor, and I've refilled it a handful of times in the last 3 days. In NuvoCigs defense, I have not yet bought a pack of their 5 cartomizers for $20... So I don't know how large they are. But I can say that the NuvoCig USB kit, comes with a larger cartomizer, and it holds, I'd guess, about 1.5 to twice the liquid of a regular carto. It does last me a while. Thanks for the Kr808d recommendation and sites, I'll check it out. But if anything, I'd really like to get away from the look-alikes. I've already got the Nuvo, and its nice. Looks good/Hits hard/cheap. Its cheaper to buy new parts at the kiosk than to ship anyways. I just wish I knew what USB pass-through would fit it, or what PCC would fit it, or what mods would fit it, y'know?

dearme: Yeah, I honestly don't know. 510 atty fits it, yet idk if the battery broke the atty or what! Also, the carts are probably overpriced on the website but $20 for 5 cartomizers (a 5 minute walk from my house) is convenient and cheap, without the shipping, yknow? As I said above, the only thing I dislike is not knowing what accessories to get. I mean I do have the NuvoCig PCC, but it doesn't charge itself as far as I know. I'd like a usb passthrough though.

Almost nobody uses prefilled carts for long. On 510 most people use the manual batteries (for best hits and safest from damage/death by juice leak) and fill their own blank cartomizers (cartomizers are one piece disposable parts that hold juice and have their own heating coil inside - I can get about 10 days use or about 20ml run through a Boge 510 3 ohm carto)

At work I use 510 manuals + Boge 3 ohm cartos as one vape, and the stronger KR808D-1 (mine are from V4L.com) with their pretty hot WOW cartos or the cooler-at-the-lips Bloogplanet cartos. I also use some fat battery devices and mods with the same threadings (510 or KR808D-1)

I only use atomizers (w/ drip tip on a sealed manual battery) to test new juices and vape occasional juices at home.

Back to your problem - something here implies your batteries MIGHT have 510 threading
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ntinued-my-atomizer-need-interchangeable.html

We do not think you have a 510. There are multiple models that use 510 threading including 306 and the weak 90mah model L88b <- both of those two have plain steel atomizers that are mostly covered by their cartridges. All of these have female threaded batteries and male (protruding part) threaded atomizers or cartomizers. However they are not all the same electrical polarity. Atomizers and cartomizers don't care but if you ever screw your nuvocig battery into a 510 charger or vice versa you could end of frying the battery, the charger and whatever the charger is attached to.

If you have 510 threaded slim batteries then your batteries can use any standard resistance 510-threaded atomizers or cartomizers and that means anything 2.5 to 3 ohms single coil. NOT anything LR (low resistance) or dual coil. And NOTE!!!!! If you are using cartridges - cartridges ONLY fit the atomizer they were made for.

Yeah I've been reading that manuals are better than autos in regards to damage because they are sealed. But, I'm probably going to stick with my NuvoCigs for now, until I can afford a variable watt or whatever. I ordered CottonCandy, Snickerdoodle, and Menthol Desert Ship from VaporBomb, I'm excited to see how they taste through my e-cig. One thing I'd like to find out is where to get replacement cartomizers for the Nuvo, but, I guess thats going to be harder than I thought because no-one knows exactly WHAT the NuvoCig IS! lol. So, rather than buying replacements, I'll just vape the cartos that came with my kits until they are dry, and then i'll fill them with my new VB juices. ;) sneeeaky, sneeaky, sneaky!! lol. Related to that, I just sent an e-mail to them to see if they'll be nice enough to give me some insight into what it is they are actually selling... lol. Heres the e-mail:

"Hello there NuvoCig, me again. Hope I am not being a pain. Um, I just had a couple questions about the NuvoCig and I was hoping you'd all be able to help me out. Um, first and foremost, I was just wondering if you will ever have the atomizers available to buy either at the kiosk or online. Right now, on the website, there are cartridges, and there are cartomizers, but no atomizers. I would like a fresh new atomizer for direct dripping, but I can't seem to find them. Either that, or could you please tell me the model number of the NuvoCig? I am being told it is similar to a 4081, but I'm also hearing that it isn't compatible with 4081 parts/accessories. I have tried an old 510 atomizer on the NuvoCig battery and it seemed okay, but it died almost instantly, probably due to age, so I'm not sure if it would actually work. Also wondering if you'll ever make a USB passthrough available to all us Nuvo users! I'd really like something that I could just attach to my cartomizer, plug into my laptop, and vape, without using up the batteries. Do you think this will ever be an option, I think it'd be great! I really hope to hear from you. Hope I'll be working for you soon. Thanks for your time, -Joe."

So, we'll see if they answer me and let me know what the model number is.
As soon as they do, I'll post the response here.
I have been sending in applications to work at their kiosk in the mall for months and months, but to no avail. I have even spoken to the owner on the phone personally three times. (The workers actually called him and asked him to talk with me) But no cigar.

Hi Plumes & welcome to ECF! Sounds to me like what you have must be a 510 since your (known) 510 atty fits it. If that's the case any standard resistance (about 3 ohm) cartomizer or atomizer should work on it. Boge are the most popular brand, AFAIK, and I've had great results with them. I would caution you: do not use a low resistance carto/atty on a slim battery, stick with SR stuff until you upgrade to a higher mah ("fat") battery. If you're interested in an upgrade there are lots of options out there. Personally I'd stick with the 510 thread size because it offers the most options. I use the E-Power 14650. It is similar to an eGo, but I chose it because the batteries are separate from the switch and can be replaced independently (and much cheaper) with non-proprietary batts. Also it was a little less expensive to begin with, and I'm on a broken income.
;) Anyway, lots of options, keep reading & happy vaping!

In the meantime, after reading what Warren D. Lockaby had said, I decided to see if I could get some life out of that dead atty. I pulled out the 510 atty that I thought had crapped out, primed it a bit with my kiwi juice, and it works now. :p
So, I'm guessing that the NuvoCigs are actually 510s, or something similar. The atty gets really hot, but, it works. So thats good to know. Now I can get a passthrough and PCC. Happy about this. I can direct drip too. :) KeysBum, hahaha that video is too true.

So to set the record strait, through independent research, the NuvoCig is a 510, 510 variant, or 510 threaded/compatible e-cig. Thanks for the welcome PuffStuff, whatsup?

Ok so I got my e-mail response back from NuvoCig. They were really nice and answered all of my questions. First of all, they put the atomizers back in stock after I had asked about them in the e-mail. That was nice of them to update the website, maybe I reminded them? Secondly, they politely asked me not to quote them as to what the type of e-cigarette battery/threading the NuvoCig is, but I think its safe to say that it is the 510. I am now charging my NuvoCig Batts with a 510 wall charger, and my 510 atomizers work on the NuvoCig Batteries. Lastly, they did tell me that they probably wont be offering a USB pass through on their website, due to the fact that they aren't really marketing their e-cigs toward serious vapers. They are more-so focusing on trying to get out to the malls to show people their product and maybe save some lives. So thats basically what they said and I can respect that. It would be nice if they did list the model number on the site, but whatever, its a 510, and a nice product/company.
