after browsing these forums for the past 4+ hours, I went to myvaporstore.com and ordered me the DSE 901 Black Starter Kit ( with Blue LED, since they was currently sold out of the orange LED. )

I also picked up a couple extra empty cartridges as well, and a 30ml bottle of Extra-high menthol e-liquid.

So anyone see any major problems with the items I ordered? After reading a bunch of stuff here, I felt pretty confident from ordering from myvaporstore, and all the reviews for the DSE 901 have been really good too.

Oh, and yes, I realize that asking for comments on a purchase AFTER you already payed for the items is kinda redundant, But i felt pretty confident with my selections...I just wanted to get a 2nd opinion.

Depending on how much I like this thing, I may end up ordering more stuff for it later, but I don't want to spend too much money at first.

Also, I go through a bit over 1 pack a day of analog cigs. With the recent tax hike here in ohio, a pack of cigarettes ( marlboro menthol ) costs just over $6 now. So I figured that If i can get into these e-cigs, I may end up saving a bit of money over time.

But this is a great forum, with TONS of helpul people, and reviews. I already appreciate what everyone is doing here.

Also, once i get my 901 in, and give it a try, I'll be sure to post up my own review as well.

Welcome Zex,

You did well. The 901 is a consistent e-cig that will give you a good amount of vapor and throat hit. Also, replacement parts are affordable and can be found by most suppliers on this forum. I definitely agree with cutting the 36 mg. liquid...that is some strong stuff. I was a pack a day Camel light smoker and the highest mg. dosage I've ever vaped in e-liquid was 24 mg. (which was too much for me). After 5 1/2 months of vaping (not smoking any analog cigs. at all) I usually vape 11 mg. juice.

So, just be careful. You don't want to o/d on the nicotine...you'll get sick and it is not pleasant. If you stick with the 901 only and purchase replacement parts once a month or so...you'll definitely see some savings.

Happy Vaping!!:D

I wouldn't call it a problem, but I'm hoping you're planning on cutting that 36mg liquid.

Otherwise it looks like you're in good shape to start with. If you like it, more batteries and atomizers are essential.

Welcome to the forum!

As yvilla said, I have the 24mg version. I didn't notice a Fierce version. No biggie.

but a quick question...

By "cutting", you mean diluting the eliquid in glycerin or something?I still have quite a bit more to read up on, and I am still confused on certain things...

Like everyone here mentions PG Glycern, and the other kind ( I forget the name. ) What's the difference between the two? Is one safer to smoke than the other?

I know these are basic noob questions, but hey...Gotta start somewhere. :D

Zex, not all suppliers stock the 36mg, but many do. I buy it, and dilute some of it with PG, which is propylene glycol, and a little glycerine and flavor too. You could reduce strength using just one or the other, but glycerine is really thick so rather than add water, I prefer using only a little glycerine and using PG as my main base, as it's the main ingredient in the liquid to begin with anyway.

I use some of the 36mg full strength as well though. I find I actually use my ecig much less when it's loaded with 36mg liquid.

I agree that the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...2-new-updated-comprehensive-intro-vaping.html thread is a good idea for you.
