My name is Bill and as you can see I live in Raleigh, NC.
I've been vaping for about 2 months now and have been off analogs for that same period of time. I've also been lurking on this site for a couple of weeks reading up and trying to absorb everything I can on e-cigs.
I first started with a "One Time Use" trial pack (not one of the Free Trials) that came with 1 battery and 3 cartomizers for $15. This got me interested in the concept of e-cigs but I soon realized I needed one where I could order refills. The battery couldn't be recharged so when I was through with it I threw it away. However, I know where it is and I'll be digging it out to see just what type of battery it is and if it can be recharged with one of my current chargers.
My second purchase was from SmokeTip where I got the starter kit that included 2 batteries, 6 cartomizers with my choice of Menthol flavor, a USB charger and AC adapter for $60. This one was much better and the price for refills wasn't all that bad at $20 for 10 refills. However their maximum strength is 16mg and I found them just not satisfying enough. I also discovered I would prefer to fill my own carts so decided my next purchase would be a 3 piece unit.
As a hobby I fly model RC planes and one day I was at the flying field and I saw another pilot with an e-cig. We got to talking and he put me onto the DSE901. I bought the starter kit for $27.50, some Menthol 24mg e-liquid, and a few other odds and ends from Heaven Gifts. This model seems to suit me just fine for now although I have replaced the filler with another type of foam that seems to be just a little better than the original material.
I have also discovered that the batteries and charger from my SmokeTip will work with the 901's atomizer so I haven't wasted my money there.
