I am looking for some recommendations on an E Cigarette to use in place of real cigarettes.
I have tried those 7/11 disposable ones (njoy, blu) and it didn't take. I am not opposed to one model over another for the looks, I am more concerned with how it "feels" so that it replaces the reason I use cigarettes. Smoking is satisfying to me, a cure for boredom and a distraction. I am looking for something that can fill those roles. So it doesn't have to be a "cig a like" it just has to fill the same role that cigarettes do. Green Smoke was one that caught my attention, but I don't really know what to look for or why to choose one over the other. I was hoping for some recommendations based on members experience.

Green Smoke, Blu, and Vuse are all comparable ciga-likes. More than likely all vapers tried them when they tried to quit smoking. One of two things happened:

  • The cigalike experience was so dissatisfying, the user got frustrated and came to the conclusion that vaping doesn't work for them, and then went back to smoking.
  • The frustrated ciga-like user did more research and decided to advance up to a more sophisticated vaporizer like an Ego or "mod" setup. More than likely, these more advanced setups were more satisfying and the user was able to quit smoking for good. You won't find many current vapers who still use a ciga-like as their main setup.
  • Vaping can easily become a hobby, a cure for boredom and a consuming distraction. Many vapers become collectors of mods and juice attachments. Some learn to make their own e-liquid flavors. One can learn to make their own coils and wicks (referred to as "rebuilding"), which is a popular hobby as well as a way to cut vaping costs.

well said Baditude, and to cosign on your answer we have all be there, that first time user, yes some go back but most like those here on this forum did search and research for a better way, and for me that better way was here on this site. e-cigarette-forum.com gave me the answere that no youtube reviewer, B&M empolyee or other forums could.
I always say vaping saved my life but in reality it was vaping and this site right here and the members that are always here to help.

well Bryce in order to answer your question and for people to give suggestions a few answers would be helpful...

when you smoke, do you inhale to your mouth first or directly to your lung?
do you want something a bit basic or something you can grow with for a while before you upgrade?
how much are you willing to spend? there's an initial costs for any device and the setup, some are cheaper than others.
