I am fairly new to the vaping world as well; I have an e-go v which is a variable voltage unit. So far so good with it, I usually have it about 3.8 to 4.0 but some flavors are better around the 3.2 range. Unit was fair priced IMO at 35 bucks and seems to be better quality than my last 2 batteries. (ego and ego-t)

My little vision with a pro tank II along with my EGO mega. Both variable, they work great as long as I remember what Ohm I have in the tanks... If you forget you can burn it quick

Welcome to the forum! They are so many options out there, that it can get overwhelming at times. The twist batteries are nice, and probably the easiest in getting started with VV. Although the LavaTube, from the same company as the Inferno, is well built and a great mod. Not to mention it would be compatible with a lot of the cartos you have left over, and will probably bring new life to them. As far as a tank goes, I recommend a carto tank over a clearomizer or BCC such as the Pro Tank, since clearos have been inconsistent IMO. Good luck in your vaping adventures. It can be wild ride, but well worth it! :)

Thanks for all the responses so far.

Vamo is a good cheap option if you want to try VV/VW without committing too much coin on a high end mod. :)

I wouldn't mind spending money on something that would last me a good amount of time. I'm looking for something that will keep performing for me after months and months of use as my inferno crapped out 2 months in.

Despite being cheap (compared to other mods), the Vamo is a good performer and has everything. One of the few cases where cheap doesn't also mean nasty.

The MVP 2 has a good reputation and is supposed to have great battery life (2600 mAh). I've got one on its way from FastTech so I can't speak from experience, but I did try the Itaste VV/VW 3.0 and loved everything about it except the battery life (hence the new MVP - was only getting about 3 hours of vape time). The ohm checker is an awesome feature, whatever you buy, so consider that as an option. If you're willing to buy from FastTech, they're about $45. MBV is supposed to have them for the next best price, and the benefit of being a US vendor, but I hear they're out of stock atm. Good luck!

If you can afford it get the provari if you don't want to spend a couple a hundred or just want to test the waters the vamo or the innokin svd are very solid optons the variable wattage function on those is a great convenience .

Totally agree. SVD a little more expensive than the Vamo but very well priced for what it does.

I'm not new to vaping, but I am new to the Forum. I use a lavatube and a vamo v2 with either the protank2, evod or the good ole SmokTech dual coil lr Cartos. I've got to say I love my Vamo V2. Best for the money hands down. There are lots of places to get one, but if you need a good set up, Myvapestore and discount vapes both give you the option to add a charger and batteries. This is where more expensive is usually better. I would go with nothing less than 2400 mah on the battery. Just my opinion though.

I went from an Inferno (which I liked when I first started) to an ego-twist to a Provari. The difference in each step up is rather significant. The Provari was ultimately the best decision I have made on my vaping journey. I absolutely love it. And, YES, you can use your inferno tanks and cartomizers on it (though you probably will also want to get a bigger tank to look nice on the Provari). Go for an upgrade and keep the inferno as a back up!

Here's my recent experiences with getting into VV:
first got EGO style vv - liked it a lot but looked weird with big tanks.
then got Provari - excellent device but got curious about mechs
got a cheap mech + kick2 - very happy and not using the Provari anymore.
If I went straight for mech + kick I'd saved myself a lot of money. Oh, and I had terrible experience with protanks.
