After reading through this forum, it looks like I made a silly mistake by purchasing a Greensmoke E-cig kit... The main reason I was interested in it, is due to not having to refill with liquid. I'm gong to use this Greensmoke for 2 weeks then send it back, but before then I'm hoping to be able to order something better. I've seen a lot of people mention an 'Ego'.
If someone could point me to the best site to buy from I would really appreciate it, as well as a list of what to get...
I would prefer to not have to use refill liquid but if that's the only option for these long lasting batteries I guess i'll deal.
And also what flavor would be most like smoking a Marlboro Special Blend light? I appreciate any help! Thanks.

I should have added.. I'm not a heavy smoker, I smoke a little over half a pack a day, and have been for about 4-5 years now.

I started with the Ego too, with the first Ego, now it´s an Ego C and I´m still using it occasonally, so I think the Ego is a good choice to start with. An Ego battery (1000 mah) lasts me for about 8 hours.
The handling of the liquid for refilling really is no problem, if you are feeling not safe becaus of the nicotin in it, you could use gloves to be on the safe side, but I don´t think, it´s necessary.
For a good shop you might want to look here:

Hi Fibbs
Welcome to ECF. We're glad you found us. We can help.
For a newbie the usual recommendation is a Kgo or Ego Twist. This mainly has to do with the increased voltage over a regular Ego or smaller ecig...... 3.7 volts for Kgo & variable up to 4.8 volts for Twist. Regular small ecigs & Egos are only 3.4 volts usually. Voltage is important to give you that feeling of warm vapor & throat hit you get from a regular tobacco cig.
Folks will be along shortly with more info than you want to know. LOL
You can purchase a good setup for $50 or less from trusted ECF approved vendors.

Thanks for the fast replies everybody. The first item on my list will be an Ego-C twist battery from AltSmoke (have seen this name on the website). Says I will need a charger as well. Would it be wise to go with 2 batteries? Or will it be alright to keep it charging while I'm not using it? I have around $100 budget to start with. I'm not sure what a good start up DIY kit would consist of. I'm thinking battery, cartos (I think those are what you attack to the battery to put the liquid in?), charger, and liquid?

I recommend to get at least 2 batteries, this way you can charde one while vaping with the other.
Yes, your list is good. If you dont want to drip, you could also get a Tank (i.e. Smoktech DCT 3,5 ml), this way you will last a long time with one setting.

I have free time to refill so I'm not sure if I would need one of those, I was looking at pictures and they look a little big for me. On average how long do you think an average refill time would be with a normal carto on an Ego Twist? I added to the OP that I only smoke a little over half a pack a day, would that change the recommendation of the Ego Twist?

Hi Fibbs, let see if I can answer some of your questions.

I'm hoping to be able to order something better. I've seen a lot of people mention an 'Ego'.

The eGo is a great choice to start with; it's a handy size, the battery has good life and is simple to recharge, and there are tons of accessories available for it. The newest model is the eGo Twist, which has variable voltage, a feature you will not want to be without once you've gotten used to it. I bought mine here: Joyetech Ego-C Twist 650mah Blue Battery. I suggest the 650mah battery because the 1000mah model is very long. You'll need 2 of them to last the day, and to have one for charging while you use the other.

The eGo uses this charger and wall adapter.

Many vape shops carry these, so you should be able to find a good deal on a kit with a little searching.

I've just started using Stardust-type cartomisers, also known as Vision Clearomisers, and so far I like them. They make lots of vapor, are a good sleek fit to the eGo battery and are easy to fill. You can see how much liquid is left in them so there's no guessing about when to refill. They're more expensive each than Boge or Kanger filler-type cartos but they should last longer and they're easy to clean, just rinse them out and let them dry for a couple days. I'd suggest getting 3 or 4 to start with. With the eGo Twist you can use any of the various ohm ratings, but 2.2-2.6 would be best.

You'll definitely need a charger and 2 batteries.
Different delivery systems:...you'll prolly want either cartos OR clearos as highlighted in red
atomizer/ atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped
cartridge/ cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the atty- juice drips on to atty from cart and is vaporized
cartomizer/ carto- metal tube with stuffing and element.
carto+tank- a carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates carto by way of hole in carto.
Clearomizer- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing.

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

When buying realize battery info:
100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge.

Re: refill time on carto
My experience is that I do not let the carto EVER get dry. That will decrease its lifetime immediately. So after the first fill. I keep an eye on the top of the carto stuffing. I do this easily by using a drip tip to take on & off in place of the white mouthpiece. If the stuffing looks dry or starts turning white, I put a few drops into it. This is about 2-3 hours for me but I am not a heavy vaper. So we are not talking about a "total refill" just a topping off after the initial fill.
I can make a carto last 3-7 days with this method.
Rule: Keep your cartos wet!

Thank you for that post, and everyone else as well. I think I'll chose package one with the 650s. Or maybe one of both. And as for atomizers, I may be misinformed, but I hear they can go bad, should I make sure to have more than one of those? And as for the Boge standard Cartos, how long do those last as well? Should I make sure to be stocked up on those? One last question, as a Marlboro light smoker (11/12 a day maybe more/less) what would be a good choice? The numbers didn't make much sense to me LOL, and I would much prefer something that resembles the taste of a cigarette to start with, if possible.

Should I add a drip tip? I'm not totally sure what this white stuffing is. Or how to check this..? I'll probably have to go watch a video of it.

Yep. Order a plain Delrin black drip tip. It will be a convenience. I don't drip into it for my cartos. I just use it as my mouthpiece & a convenient on/off device. If you can't find a Delrin, just an acrylic one will do fine.
The stuffing inside a cartomizer looks like a cigarette filter. It surrounds the coil & wicks the juice to the coil. The coil heats the juice.
Boge cartomizers are good & so are Smoketeck cartomizers.
