I wish my son's dog reacted that way.
She was a homeless person's dog and she's addicted to tobacco. I've done a fair amount of dog sitting and we always had lovely times out in the Arizona room "smoking" together and watching feral cats go by.... I think she thinks I'm a traitor now, she comes over and gives me ALL her attention, sneezes in my face (it's a good thing I like this dog) then sits mournfully by the sliding glass door giving me, "What is wrong with you??" looks. My son won't let me take her out there anymore b/c she always finds *something.* Ant bait, a spider to bite her.... We have a lot in common actually.....
I like a dog that understands addiction, so I hate disappointing her. When she comes here, we have to keep a sharp eye on the outdoor ashtrays, since she'll take anything tobacco related that isn't nailed down. Good job on helping your pug breathe, though, Breen. Health of those around us is a great reason to stop smoking, I wish (as a mom) I could have done that sooner, that's for sure.... Hope your pug is enjoying his tobacco free air...
