I had never even heard of vaping until a google search suggestion randomly flashed 'electronic cigarette'. I was almost like 'oh, yeah right', but I decided to see what it was. I'm a pack a day smoker, and it's time for a change. After spending a few days researching all of the different devices, I decided yesterday to go for the gusto and order a provari mini. I'm not very technically minded, but it seemed that I could cut out the constant upgrading that it seems a lot of people go through. One thing I'm still confused about is the mouthpiece. Is this another piece that comes with the provari, and that you stick on the end of the atomizer or cartomizer? I would like to eventually order a really nice one, and suggestions for where to find a 'pretty looking' one would be greatly appreciated. I've ordered atomizers and a cartridge, and cartomizers with a drip tip, and I'm really looking forward to figure out what all of this means when my package arrives! :?:

Hi RW,
I think the mouthpiece you are talking about is the drip tip. Drip tips don't come with the provari, but there are all kinds of drip tips from quite cheap to more expensive.
Here's some cheaper end drip tips - you would want 510s

510 Drip Tips, 510 Drip Tip, 808 Drip Tips, 901 Drip Tips

There's some nice glass drip tips here which cost a bit more:

Vapedudes have some stainless steel ones that I think look nice:

There are tons of them around - just check a few sites. :)

This is my first post too! I've been steady lurking through this forum for about 2 weeks and finally decided it was time to sign up and introduce myself. My vape-enlightenment story is kind of similar to yours, RCW49, in that I had never heard of vaping until a random e-cig ad popped up on a totally unrelated websearch. I too said "yeah right," but my curiosity got the best of me. Several hours of research later, and I was ready to test the waters. The only problem was that I had no idea what e-cig kit to order. I wish I had found this forum then, as my "extensive" (or so I thought) digging led me to what Google and all the fake e-cig reviews claimed to be the BEST product - V2.

A few days later, the V2 standard kit arrived (one batt for me and one for the wife, who swore she'd never be able to quit smoking) and I instantly knew that vaping was for me. Haven't had a real cig since (pack/day, Newports). Since then I've moved on to the kGo VV, which I really like, with hopes of landing a Provari eventually (c'moooon Xmas!) My wife is still enjoying the V2 batts, but I've gotten her into clearomizers filled with Halo Tribeca instead of the pre-filled V2 carts. It's amazing how much more I know now than three weeks ago - if you had asked me then about Ohm's law I would have asked who Owen was. Can't wait to see what I know tomorrow - thanks ECF!

Thanks for the welcome Faulkan, and for the info Kiwivap :)

I suspected that that's what a drip tip is, but at no point did provape or another supplier of the delrin pro-tips that I ordered actually come out and say what it is (wasn't even sure it was a drip tip).

I think I would like to also have some e-cigarettes that look like cigarettes for when I'm around people. I wonder if it's common to keep a pack of these for this purpose.

It seems we were both lucky with the algorithms, IndubitablyMe.

About the vaping in public Faulkan, for some reason I would rather explain a simulated analogue than something that is completely new. I do think that the word should be spread. All of this from someone who has never even tried it, but I am quite mentally committed, not to mention financially. I just can't keep spending almost ten dollars a day on duMauriers.
