My current setup is a MVP v2 with a carbon fiber skin, and a Kanger mini pro tank 3!

I have friends that have mech mods (patriot rda and nemesis mod) and they really enjoy my setup because of its great flavor and surprising vapor production.

I am really untreated and getting a mech mod, but i don't know too much about it.

I understand how to make coils but I am not sure whether to get a clone or the real deal for my first real rebuildable.

What would you guys suggest I get for my first rebuildable and mech mod?

Is it really worth it to buy say... The real Patriot 1.2 RDA Over the clone?

Welcome to the forums, I say start with a clone and if you like it the step up to authentic. Most clones work almost same or as good as the real one. I have a real patriot and like it, but drilled it out when I bought it. Also I started with a trident clone to see if I liked it. I still prefer the kayfuns because I like flavor and not huge cloud junkie.

It really is more of a matter of how much you want to spend. An authentic patriot is around 70$ i believe. You could get to good clone Mod and clone rda and good batteries for around that same price probably even a little cheaper. If you go with the clones make sure to research good brands. A lot of them are really nice. Also you are not out a lot of money if it turns out you like your MVP more.

I was in your same exact position, I owned an MVP V2 also, I had been wanting to upgrade to a mech mod for awhile, and my friend suggest getting a Turtle Ship Mod Clone, I did so and am very pleased with it. It works great and haven't had any problems, I suggest getting it. As for the rebuildable I haven't bought one yet, i'm not too sure which one to go with, so i've been using my Kanger Protank 3 on the Turtle Ship still

Honestly, if you are buying one of the second generation clones from one of the better clone makers I think any argument in favor of the original is just a basic case of choice-supportive bias. People paid more for the original, and so they view it as being better regardless of the actual performance. It's really just a psychological self defense mechanism. A way of not thinking about the fact that they paid so much more for the same device, because if their's is "better" then they still made a good choice when they purchased it. I've never seen an original that I thought was worth the price difference compared to a solid 1:1 clone.
