Hello all.

Well I am totally bummed. I read a ton of information here the past few days, but before deciding what to order online I really wanted to try an e-cigarrette before spending too much money on the experience.

So I went to the local smoke shop and bought an Envy Bliss starter kit for $35. I figured what the heck, it's less than a carton. I got about 5 good hits on it and then it stopped producing vapor. I figured the battery needed charging so I charged it for three hours as suggested. Still no vapor. So I replaced the cartridge that came with it. Still no vapor.

Did I get a dud? Is there anything else I can try to get it to work?

TIA

First, Welcome to the forum!

Likely got a dud. For $35 you could have gotten a 510 kit at cignot and been vaping by Tuesday all day long. Must have read the wrong stuff.

You could try blowing out the atomizer - haven't a clue what the Bliss is. If it isn't getting hot then you likely shorted out the auto switch in the battery. No fix for that.

Sorry I don't have better news. Perhaps someone who has one of these will chime in.

Thank you for your quick reply. Well the LED light goes on when I "draw" on the e-cig. I also noticed the cartridge gets warm when I do that too. I will try blowing out the atomizer like you suggested. There is a one-year warranty so I guess I will contact the company about a replacement if that doesn't work.

Good! Battery is still working. Take out the atomizer and blow it out into a paper towel. One of the most common problems with no vapor is a flooded atomizer. The other one is that you bought a supermini ;-) That's a joke, but if you have a supermini - looks like a cigarette - then you have to take slow long draws - like drinking a thick shake through a straw in order to get some vapor.

I just read the recent thread about the penstyle not working, and it sounds like I have the same issue with a flooded atomizer for sure. I'll dink around with the Envy while I still consider what I really want to order. I need to figure out the throat hit vs vapor....what is it that I am looking for? With the few hits I initially got out of it I like the slightly sweet flavor. I can see I will probably experiment alot with the liquids in the future, too.

This is a great bunch of people here taking time for us stoopid noobies! Thanks!

If the atomizer/cat (from what I seen on google images it appears to be a cartomizer) does not get hot, then the atty is crap, and I would take it back, and hope for a refund, then I would goto someplace like madvapes.com and get a disposable 510, and see how much I like a real e-cig :)

BTW: http://thebakerysmokeshop.com/images/Envy-Cig-all-sm-500.jpg

is the above what you have? I dont know what it is, so I hope somebody else can chime in.

You are not a stoopid noobie!

I was in the same shoes you are in just 2-1/2 months ago and I still consider myself a newb, although a better-informed one. I'm not sure exactly what type of e-cig you purchased (I call it a PV [Personal Vaporizer]) but if you are seriously considering quiting smoking then it would be worth it to grab a hot or cold beverage of your choice and continue to read, read and read some more and try and learn all that you can about PV's here at ECF so that you can make an informed decision to purchase a good quality and dependable PV like the Joye510 (for example).

As to solving your immediate problem with your PV, if we knew exactly what model you had we could help you better.

Well I blew out the atty and I also used tweezers to take the filling out of the cart and dry it out a bit. The inside of the cart was wet and so was the atty. (Look, I am learning the lingo!) Then I used the suggestion to do a slower draw, and it worked!!! I think this will get me through the week or so it will take me to decide what to buy.

THANKS BUNCHES!

GReat!! Yep, when you get no vapor and the battery is still working either you've flooded the atty or you're out of ejuice ;-) Slower draw works well and you can 'build up' a vape that way too, keep vapor in your mouth, draw some more, take in some air too, then a good draw and inhale...

I thought I would put one last post on this in case anyone else comes searching for info on the Envy Bliss.

Since it's a micro mini, you CANNOT puff on it like a regular cigarette, or you will flood the atty right off the bat. I wasted a cartridge by drawing too hard. After a day of blowing the atty out repeatedly onto tissue and then re-trying my vaping method, I found I can get good vapor and somewhat decent TH with a 2-3 second very light draw. I can do this twice, maybe max three times then I have to let the PV sit for at least 10 minutes before vaping again otherwise it will flood.

I'm going to bring this one to work as my stealth vaper, as it will be just fine for short breaks and I can charge it with the USB on my computer. Now I will need to finish my research for what I really want.

I still can't thank all the helpful people enough here, but thank you again!!!
