Ok, Ive been reading this forum for about 4 days. I read many many opinions on what to buy. Ive watched MistressNomads videos , which were informative.

I was thinking about the 808D-1 kit because the batteries last longer.

I bought a cheap e health cig kit from ebay and it seemed very cheap. before I did much research I just ordered because I am sick of smoking. The cart/filter thing runs out very fast, its like the equivalent to 2 cigarettes. The vapor is weak and very little throat hit.

Anyways let me just explain what I'm looking for so maybe someone can point me in a direction because I'm very confused.

In her videos the 808D-1 looks like it produces alot of vapor and she says it has an ok throat hit, but a long battery life. But refilling and cleaning of the cartomizer looks way to much like work.

What I want is a very easy use.
I want a cig I can plug in and charge, and throw a pre filled cartomizer on it. With good vapor.
I cant seem to find pre filled cartomizers in menthol and red marb flavors. or pre filled at all. Every site seems to have something different. Im very confused!

These e health cigs I bought I went thru 6 cartomizers in 2 days!

There is so many brands and models I dont know whats best.

Sorry if I sound stupid! lol

Doesn't ehealth use carts? battery + atomizer + cart?

A cartomizer holds more liquid. A cartomizer may not last all day. Most people add ejuice when needed and keep the carto damp and then you should be able to get 4-7 days use out of a carto. Cartomizers are used on 2-piece ecigs - battery+cartomizer

Did you watch the Newbie videos in the sticky threads of New members? Don't go by the vapor - I don't get tons of vapor out of my KR8 w/ Vapor4Life cartos. But it gives a nice warm hit and would probably give more vapor with Boge cartos (and of course eliquid with some VG in it). Whatever you get, buy manual batteries.

Sorry that is so confusing - I need to get ready for work.

Welcome to ECF!

We can help you better if we know more about your smoking habits. How much do you smoke? What brand?

The KR808 is a great e-cig, but if you're smoking a pack a day or more then the battery life might not be enough for you.

E-cigs must have regular maintenance to keep working properly. It's not really as much work as you think. It only takes me a few minutes to rinse out a carto and only about 15 minutes every week or so to clean my atomizers. You can go the route of just using prefilled cartos and throwing them out when you're done, but that's going to end up costing more in the long run. Most of us just buy empty cartos and fill them with our own flavors, and we'll reuse the cartos again and again. It saves money and gives you way more options than prefilleds.

Vapor4Life has some great KR808 kits and lots of prefilled cartos if that's what you decide to do.

I think those videos were made before the eGo came out. I agree that, if you smoke around a pack a day, the battery life is likely to drive you nuts!!!

Hi and welcome to ecf. I know this ecig stuff is very confusing and it is an education in itself. If you are interested in simple, look at vapor4life. They have the Kr808D and prefilled cartos. Vapor depends on the type of juice is in the cartomizer. The battery life is shorter than say, an Ego. you could go to liberty-flights.com and look at the Riva 901's. I know, more confusion, but let me explain. The 901 is usable for the 808d cartomizers, and the 901 riva has a longer battery life...say 6- 8 hours between charges instead of a couple of hrs with Kr808d batteries. It is all in the threading of the battery as to what cartomizers or attys to use.
Hope this helps. look at both sites and read the descriptions. More questions? come back to ask.
Good luck
Glad you found us.

Hello NV and welcome to the wonderful (and confusing) world of vaping! :)

As previously mentioned, Vapor4Life is the place to go for all things KR808-D1. When using mine, I tend to go through two or three XL batteries a day and refill the cartomizers every few hours.

If cartomizers appeal to you, you might also take a look at the increasingly popular Go-Go mod. You'll find plenty of threads and several videos for this mod. The battery and one cartomizer last me all day.

NHaler Go Go

Wow! Looks like both vendors are currently out of stock!

As i do no know if you were a heavy smoker or not I am just going to give you advice based on my experience. I was a three pack a day smoker. My first e-cig was an ego and then got the ego-T atomizers and carts. I have heard other people having issues with this device but it has worked out great for me. You can either get the 650amp batteries which will last you for about six to eight hours before a recharge and the 1100 amp batteries will last you for around 12 hours before a reccharge. all you have to do is fill the carts and go. No dripping no no muss no fuss. As long as you take reasonably good care of the attys this could last you a good long while and there are a lot of suppliers that carry this with a good warrenty

I started with standard KR808-D1 cig, but the battery only lasts 2-3 hours. I have the PigCig (from Lecig.com). Lasts 6-7 hours! 808 threaded so cartos are interchangable. I also buy the blank (empty) cartos, and fill (numerous times) with juice I buy. Refilling cartos is so easy, seems wastefull and costly to but prefilled and discard after 1 use.

I appreciate all the replies!

The problem I have with the eGo types is they do not look realistic. I need to fake my brain out lol.

I smoke about a pack a day.

I want to buy a starter kit for me and my GF, buying 2 kits with extra batteries and stuff could add up to $200! I'm on disability at the moment so money is tight.

Should I buy extra atomizers? Do they not last long? Or is every brand different. I really want the easiest e cig solution, My life is VERY busy and don't have much extra time :(

I really appreciate the help tho! I wasted money on the e health cigs, I don't want to waste anymore :)

Think of it this way:

You aren't smoking so why would you want to look like you are? Sure, you might get some curious looks and people might even ask you about it, but it puts vaping in the spotlight.

You will need extra atomizers because they will go bad after a while. Some only last a few days, others will last for months. I think if you take care of them they'll last longer. It's sort of like taking care of your car. It'll run longer if you do the routine maintenance like you should. You're also going to need plenty of juice with a couple of different nic levels and flavors.

I realize that you're busy, but aren't we all? It's really not that hard to take care of these and it really doesn't take a lot of time.

Take a look at Liberty-Flights.com. They have great prices on their kits and it's not going to cost you $200. Each kit comes with two batteries and that should be plenty to get you started. If you click the Discount Code tab at the top, you'll get another 20% off and shipping is a flat 2.99. They also have a six month warranty on eGo batteries and three months on Rivas.

Nitro,
Bloog MaxxFusion. I got mine one week ago, and haven't had a cigarette since. I smoked 1-2 packs per day of Marlboro lights for 25 years. They have prefilled cartridges that taste fairly good (they perform amazingly well!). I suggest you get many flavors....you might be surprised what you like "vaping" as opposed to "smoking".

For me, I discovered I needed the 24mg nicotine strength to avoid cravings for the real thing, but it is advisable to order in a couple of different strengths to find out what works best for you. Their "Kamel" cartridges in 24mg are the most comparable in flavor to what I am used to, but this is extremely subjective.

Look on You Tube (or here, in the video review section) for Bloog MaxxFusion reviews. They are what convinced me, and I have not regretted my decision for even one second.

All the best to you and your GF!
Tracy

I started with the e-health (or the health-e) cig. BTW - there is a difference between the 2 names.
Regardless of which one, the point is - I quit smoking that day because of it.

If we're talking the same one, the cork filter looking cart has an easy-to-remove insert with a very small piece of fiber to hold juice. Just a few drops will re-fill it. Too much and you'll suck juice.

Here's another thread. See post 13 for filling instructions.

Don't get confused by everyone's recommendations. All offered are good choices. Once you leave the mall and gas station brands, the online competition assures a quality product at a fair price.

If you have access to AC or USB power most of the time for recharging batteries, and a PCC for charging when out, you can use a slim cig like Vapor4Life. I use Vapor4Life. Lots of people use them. The standard Vapor4Life batteries will last 3-4 hours for a light to moderate vaper and cut that in 1/2 for a heavy vaper.

it looks a bit simpler than it is - you will need eliquid to get reasonable use out of cartomizers. Without adding juice, a carto might last 1/2 a day or even a whole day for a light vaper. But if you run them dry you can singe the stuffing and ruin them for reuse. You can either carry several with you and switch when one seems a bit dry then refill them at night, or you can add juice to one during the day. Or if you are rich, you can just throw them away.

Choose manual batteries. KR808D-1 (what Vapor4Life is) manual and auto batteries all have a hold int he threaded end, but only the autos are dependent on a drag sensor in that hole. That hole is right where a refilled carto will drip if it leaks a bit so you can damage or kill auto batteries. Autos can also turn on accidentally from wind or vibration. And they are more work. Most people here use and recommend manual batteries for all ecigs.

If you need longer battery charge or are want hotter drags, then look at the fatter Riva unit at Liberty-Flights.com. Fat battery ecigs can use both standard parts AND low resistance parts and the LR parts give hotter hits.

Well I appreciate all your guys information.

I decided to go with the Mega 510 Titan E-NIC Kit. It has longer lasting batteries and comes with a few extras. I talked to a friend I haven't talked in about a year after I posted this thread. He recommended that kit and his whole family quit smoking using it.

I hope it turns out well. Im so sick of smoking!!!!!!!!

I really do appreciate everyone's advice tho!!

The cigarette looking things probably aren't going to work for that. The weight gives them away. If you're like me, you'll get over that looks like a cigarette thing by the third battery. Where's that 4 stages of vaping video?
