Hello all. Just thought I would stop by the new members' board to check in. I just recently started vaping and I've gotta say, it's much cheaper than smoking and after only 2 weeks, I can feel a noticeable difference in my health. Obviously, I'm a complete n00b to the whole vaping thing but I would like to change that with the help of this forum.
First, a bit of background. I started smoking when I was 12. I did it mostly to "look cool" and to "help deal with the stress" of my parents' divorce. It started with "just a smoke" here and there but before I knew it, I was smoking "just to smoke". I went from a smoke a day to a pack-and-a-half a day before I knew it. That kept up for another 12 years and then my dad was recently diagnosed with COPD. That, plus the damage I could tell cigarettes were doing to my own body, made me want to try quitting.
I was watching TV one night and an infomercial for some e-cig came on. I watched it for a bit and started getting interested. I mean, come on....all the feel of smoking with 0% nicotine and no tar/carcinogens....I decided it was worth a try. I went down to the corner store at 2am that night and got a Dune tobacco flavored e-cig (disposable). That was pretty much the end of analogs for me.
Now, here I am, 2 weeks and only 3 cigarettes later. I love these things and I don't see why Health Canada doesn't recognize these as effective nicotine replacements, but that's gonna be another post.
All this said, even though a fresh Dune lasts me about 3-4 days now, I'm kinda interested in getting a proper vape setup and that is why I joined this group. Well....that and the support you guys seem to give each other....
This brings me to my first question. What low cost (approx $50) setup would you recommend for a new vaper like myself and what are your favorite flavors? Like I said, I really enjoy the taste of Dune's tobacco flavored disposables. I tried a Vapur Classique but I found that one tasted horrible. I also like the throat hit I get from Dune if i take a slow 5-7 second hit...this is what sold me on e-cigs the most.
Looking forward to suggestions and experiences from anyone and everyone.

I prefer vision v3 rebuildable clearomizers myself, but you'll have lots of options.
