Hi there. My user name is my name.... So, my name is David and I reside in Nashville Tn. Where I tour with bands and do session/Studio work with musicians for a living. I play guitar and write songs in the genres of blues, rock, jazz, r&b, funk ect ect. No country for me even though I live in the country music capital of the US. There is enough people down here that do country. They do not need me. Plus I am originally from Chicago. So, country is not really my thing. LOL.
I am 32 years old and married with one 13 year old child.
Okay enough on my bio. I do not want to put people to sleep.

I am just a new member to the forums, but I have been lerking the forums and using it to learn for a bit now. So first off I want to thanks all the great people on here that have tons of info in these topics.

At 17 years old I started smoking 1-1.5 packs of cigs a day. From 17 threw 30 it was NewPorts. About 2 years ago I found a type of Cigs called American Spirits. An "All Natural" Cigs. I started smoking them and was totally happy with them. They burn slow, and made me feel better. But they are still a lit smoke.
Well I've been kicking around the idea of using an E-cig for a while because I want to get my health and wallet in better shape.

I ended up picking up 2 510 HydroStrike (eGo style) 900mAh batteries. I also picked up 2 StarDust 2ml tanks and a 2ml Vivi Nova tank and a 3ml Vivi Nova tank. I also picked up a USB charger and wall charger. I also picked up some different menthol and mint style juices.

I am totally loving it. Been cig free since the first puff of vape. Over a week now. I can already tell I am getting some smell and taste back, lungs feel better, I can smoke inside and most of all..... I am saving a ton of money.
I went from about a total of a 9 dollar a day habit to about a 1 dollar a day habit. Its mind blowing.

I am also a techie kind of guy too, so I have really gotten into all the tanks and batteries and all the different ways to vape. I have started a list of things I have wanted to buy. LOL

Sorry for the long winded-ness. I enjoy smoking, and I am enjoying the vape'ing.
Thank you all again for the cool place to find info on anything you can think of regarding these topics.
Also.... I apologize in advance for not knowing all the words people use when talking about E-Cigs and the products.

Cheers.
David.

Hello and welcome to ecf. Best members on the internet. And from all over the world. Read all the 'stickies' in the upper part of the new members forum and click on any links that sound interesting to you. There is also one for abbreviations for our vape-speak. LOL

Congrats on making the switch.
:)

Welcome to ECF, David and Jchamb2. Lots of reading and learning. Go for it.

David, I am in the Nashville area also. There is a Facebook group that meets once a month, info is in the link Cags provided. Couple of guys there do rewicking and building coils so may be a chance to take a peek on that end of things. Good to see another Nashvillian here on ECF. Do a search on Google; there are several vape shops in the area. I hear Nashville Vapor has AIV juice and some of their own. I have not been there yet so can't fill you in.

You have just found a new hobby.

Congratulations on quitting David and welcome to the ECF Forum!

You did a 'fine' Job talkin' the eCig talk, so now work on walkin' the eCig walk.... with all the support you find here, I'm sure you'll do just fine.... ;)

Thanks guys for the kind words!
I will check out that Nashville area part of the forums and/or Facebook for sure!

Maybe it will give me a change to get some more hands-on with product. I would defiantly like to see what other products are out there that I have not got to see locally yet.
Everything I bought so far has been local, at local "smoke" shops.
