My name is Eddie and I live in Kentucky. I use to smoke cigarettes but I quit back in 2005. About 3 years ago I started smoking cigars and pipes and found myself smoking 5 or 6 a day and I wanted to cut back.
I was at a tobacco shop and saw that they had a section for vaping and ended up walking out with the Aspire platinum kit and several juices. At first I didn't like it because all it did was make me cough. Then I found this site and discovered that my problem was using 16mg with a sub ohm kit is not the best idea
I searched around and found the aspire premium kit at vapenw and purchased it with a spare tank and also picked up a alantis 2. At the same time I went to vape wild and ordered 12 bottles of juice with 3mg. I can now say that I am extremely happy with the results of using 3mg over the 16. I will just add a few drops of the 16 to my 3 mg juices while I am vaping with the nautilus.
It doesn't stop there for me though, I was reading the reviews last weekend on the different tanks and mods and I decided to buy a xcube2, tfv4, velocity drip, wire , Cotten, batteries, charger and a few other things. I am still waiting for it to arrive.
I pretty much understand ohms law and know how to figure what amps are being produced at different volts and resistance, so I feel pretty confident in building coils and not blowing myself up or anyone around me.
I have steam engine bookmarked as that will save me from doing the math and I really like the idea of making my own juice so I may dive into that also.
Well anyways thanks for having me and I look forward in reading everything that I can on here

When using a regulated mod the resistance of your build is not important as long as your mod can fire it.

I really enjoy reading mooch articles as I have read several already.
I have a regulated mod coming but right now I am using an aspire cf sub so I will need to be concerned with the amps if I am using it with my coil builds. I plan on buying a mech mod one of these days so having a understanding of ohms law will be very important to me.
Thanks for the links, I will be reading all of them.

The CF SubΩ is also regulated but with an internal battery. So as long as the mod can fire it you are safe.

 Make sure you purchase an ohm reader.

When considering how low you can build you need to give yourself some headroom. I try to never exceed 50% of the CDR (continuous discharge rating) of a fully charged battery (4.2v). So with a 20A battery (like the Samsung 25r), that would be 10A. This Ohm's Law Calculator tells me that a 0.4Ω build is as low as I would want to use.

The reason that I place a 50% limit is because as a battery ages the mAh of the battery degrades, as the mAh degrades so does the batteries c rating (amp limit). So down the road, a 20A battery may only be a 10A battery."

With a 30A battery (like the LG HB6), 0.28Ω is the lowest I would build.

I wasn't sure if the aspire cf sum was regulated or not. I guess I should have known that it was.
I have an amprobe acd-51nav multimeter so I will be able to measure the resistance of my coils.
Thank you for you replies!
