Hi all. I have been using a Blu for about 3 months. I have been reasonably happy with it but the constant charging of batteries is really starting to become a drag. I also spend a lot of time outdoors and the Blu is almost impossible to use in windy conditions. I have started buying a pack of analoges when I go out in the boat because the wind drains my batteries so quickly.

I am going to replace the Blu, the problem is with what?

My brother-in-law uses an ego-t but I do not really like the look of it and he says that the button does get depressed in his pocket quite a bit. I really like the tank tips he uses but do not want to deal with leaks.

I love the look of the GLV super mini and I am leaning that way because of the cartomizer/atomizer versatility. It also looks to be near indestructible with little chance of inadvertent firing.

So my questions are:
Should I drop the extra $$ for the GLV super mini or go with a cheaper ego type for now?
If I do go ego, will I eventually be complaining about battery life like I am with the Blu?
Are there tanks that work with the GLV?

Thanks for your help, I'm really glad to have this forum as a resource.

The Ego kits are fully compatable with cartomizers as well. In fact i usually recomend ego batterys becouse they are durable with Boge Cartomizers. The GlV is gona have a lifetime warranty on the mod itself and you will have to rotate out batterys. the E-Power kit from Crystal Clear Vapeing is also a very strong contender and comes with both cartomizers and atomizers as well as juice so you are good to try both right out of the box.

That looks intriguing Tersur. I like the fact that you can turn it off to prevent pocket discharging. I dislike the look of the thing though. I think that is why the GLV super mini is so appealing to me. I looks like it can be hidden in the palm of you hand, which would also lead me to think that it would fit in your pocket nicely. I guess I might have to get over the "look" thing, in the long run, its going to be the performance that matters most to me.

The Glv will have good performance as well. so now its down too two things. Price and Looks. Do you want to pay more for the glv cause it looks cool. or less for the epower?

Honestly, I like the look of the super mini because it looks like I can conceal it in my palm. I think those ego style tubes look ridiculous when being used. I much prefer discrete over flashy. I can't stand that blue light on the end of the blu and actually put some black nail polish on mine to subdue it. The e-power appears to be out of stock at the moment. I'll try to find it on some other sites.

The GLV is a FAR superior model than any eGo. Much better built with a lifetime warranty. Plus in the long run, the batteries will last 4 - 5 times longer and only cost a fraction of the ego batteries. ($4 instead of $15 - $20)

However, if I was going to upgrade, I would get the 5 volt GLV2 over the mini due to the warmer vapor and not needing to use LR attys or cartos.

Thanks for the input! Now, help me out here... LR attys and carts? What is LR? Thanks!

LR means low resistence (1.5 - 1.7 resistence) which on a 3.7 volt model somewhat simulates the warmer vapor of a good 5 volt model. The LR's don't hold up as well as the standard resistence atomizers/cartomizers (2.5 - 3.0 resistence). With a good 5 volt model, you get warmer vapor and can use standard resistence atomizers/cartomizers or dual coil cartomizers. To many of us, it better simulates the warmth more consistently of the real thing. Variable volt and power regulated models are another step up allowing you to adjust your power level from around 3.7 volts up to 7.4 volts. An example is the Darwin or Provari models. With a small 3.7 volt model, the only way to get warm vapor is to be restricted to LR attys or cartos.

2 cents for your pile of info :) : The mini, supermini and 5v GLVs are all fabulous mods. I love the SuperMini when I'm out. It can hide in my hand if I want to stealth vape. Openly vaping it draws attention because of the small size. You can help a lot of people switch spending a moment to talk about vaping. People love it and want one. GLVs have the button in the industry, no contest. I have quite a few mods. My SuperMini is the one I reach for most often. Have fun shopping.
