Hi new member here and i'm pretty new to vaping as well,
I got a Toprol 510 last week and enjoy it alot more than any real cigarettes I used to smoke. One of the best purchases ive ever made.
But I just have a couple questions, The LED on one of my 510's will not go off, It has been lit up for about 30 hours now and no matter what I try ( blowing in it, lightly tapping it, letting it sit etc...) it is still on at this very moment. Is this a normal thing to happen ? And also would I be better off buying a Joye 510 to replace the toprol 510 ? Thanks for any help and I look forward to visiting here often.

I am not familiar with the Toprol so you will have to wait for the more informed to jump in on that one----but--- I have had the Joye 510 and found it to be a good unit with far to short a battery life (between charges). Do yourself a favor and purchase the Janty Ego. The battery lasts a full day (10 hours for me) and it takes the 510 atty and cart. A great unit with-out having to go to a mod.

First of all Welcome to ECF......Secondly, not really familiar with your Toprol 510.....But i can tell you one thing for sure NO E CIG is suppose to stay on for that long....You are draining your batt since the light is obviously on constantly....Bring/Send it back Cause you defiantly got a defective product......Good Luck...

Quite a few distributors rename their 510s to something else. There is no telling from the name alone whether it's a Joye or not; unless of course it's a known name. This link shows the difference between Joyes and one of the clones. Janty World - Beware of copies! - Janty World | Janty World (Does anybody have something similar for any more that are out there?)

If you like your 510, I second the idea of looking at the eGo - which is basically a (Joye) 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cone. It's barely longer than a normal 510, just wider.
And if your stuff is Joye, you can use the atties without any problems on an eGo, if they are clones, they won't work perfectly, but you will have backup at least.

I agree with the eGo part: Just got mine in the mail yesterday and lovin' it! However- still need to deal with the defective merchandise issue: have the bad batt replaced and use it as a spare or give it away or whatever after you get your eGo.

Thanks for the helpful info everyone, The battery flat out died today so its done for sure.
Ordered myself a Joye and im going to see how that goes, But for now im vaping my other toprol until I get the Joye. The battery life lasts me about 2 hours so im constantly charging. Might look into something other than a 510 in the future once I get used to working a E-Cig properly and can junderstand them abit more as its come to my knowledge that any 510 does not have the best battery life. Thanks
/ Sean

Hi Tiger,
IMO all of the models don't have the greatest stock battery life. I think that's why everyone buys the ego and other type of mega batteries, or even mods. I think it boils down to the atty and how it performs. More experienced vapers will tell you which atty to get for a better Throat Hit, which gives a smoother vapor, which gives a warmer vapor and so on. Personally I have the 510, and the 801 - waiting to get the 901 and try that out. I love the 510 but the carts on the 801 (WOW!) holds mega juice. Think about getting a battery mod for your 510 atty first, before you start spending money on a whole different model. It may surprise you. Hope this helps you.

Been there, done that on the liquids. Still trying to come up with the primo all day go to vape juice. So far I've really come to appreciate cappucino as my go to vape. Although I've just invested a few bucks on about 20+ flavors from perfumers apprentice, so that I could continue on my quest for the ultimate flavor. I feel like a mad scientista. Good luck to me on that.
I hope your search is eventful but mostly enjoyable! If you have any more questions, the people of this forum are very helpful - or ask me and I'll try to help you out as much as I can. Although like I said before, there are more experienced vapers out there with a world of knowledge just waiting to help you and other vapers.:)
Vape On,
