510 batteries dont last as long.I started and STILL do use my KR808 from VK, aka Vapor 4 Life..Its got killer throat hit and carts are cheap, reuseable, and last a long time.. Im a chain vapor and 2 KR808's last me well over all day. I can vape about 3 or 3 carts a day easily on 2 batteries. V4L has REALLY good customer service, and CigEasy has the same KR808's for about 20 bucks cheaper for the starter kits. But its all preference.

thank you, Shining. Mind you, I'm not opposed to trying filling my own once we get going with this, but I'm focused now on getting started for a month or two before I even attempt to go that route. I am actually intrigued by the idea of being able to mix our own juice and eventually get it just right by our tastes, but we're taking baby steps here - one at a time. Let us get the switch-over to ecigs with pre-filled carto's down, and then we can look at re-using those carto's and buying the low-resistance carto's and filling them with juices from somewhere else or those we make.

Again, I am very intrigued by that idea and I am someone who likes to tinker around every now and then; but we have to "get off the ground" before we can "fly". I really enjoy building my own computers, but the first time around (and only once since and only because I didn't have time to fool with it then) I bought one off the shelf. I like being able to customize and fine tune, but that does take time to get right, and right now I just can't do it. Later on, sure. Just not now. Too much of a learning curve to jump in too deep to begin with.

Thanks again, all!

I don't know a thing about the 808's but the eGo, Riva and Joye are all 510's, anything 510 are compatible with all 510's (That's my understanding after much research).

That's what I thought as well, just wanted confirmation since my eyes are all googly from trying to learn about the choices. silly me, I thought we'd just find a vender and they were all pretty much the same, except for the real rip-offs. Silly me! lol

Can you point me to someone who sells the pre-filled 510 carto's that have a decent flavor? Also, aren't there some extra large carto's for those? does anyone sell those pre-filled? Is your Riva one of the 900mAh or higher batts? One thing I'd like to have is long batt life and long carto life as well. We do smoke way too much now and I imagine based on our cheapo experiment with the NJOY disposables that we will probably vape more while we adjust at least.

I plan on trying both the KR808 and the eGo/510/Riva. What makes the Riva or eGo better? I know the 510 has a short batt life, gives great vapor, but not so sure of the diff between Riva and eGo.

The eGo and Riva are bigger batteries. They look more like a cigar than a cigarette, but they last a LOT longer between charges. The Riva is a 750mAh that will last approximately 8-10 hours before needing a recharge. The eGo is a 650mAh that will last about 6-7 hours before needing a recharge. You might get even more life out of them depending on how much you vape. Both also have options for even bigger batteries, but the larger sized eGo's are easier to find. I have a 900mAh eGo and it'll last all day (5AM to 6PM work day) for me. My fiance has been able to go about a day and a half with his, but he doesn't chain vape like I do.

I'd also like to know what vendors have guru's that will take a noob's call and answer a few questions and be honest and even point to a different vendor for items they don't carry? In my nick of the woods that's what an upstanding business person does and when I ran a store that's just what I did. It helped the customer and won their trust and loyalty, too! Too bad the ...... that owned it kept messing it up by not listening, but I digress. lol If a vendor answered the phone and was willing to point me in the right direction for me, they might just eran my business. I love our brave new world, but sometimes I miss the old times. (and I'm less than 40, for now!) lol

WomanOfHeart, my wife and I will both likely chain vape. I almost always have a cig in my mouth or a nicotine lozenge, which helps, but only until I can squeeze out of the door! I'm looking for eGo/Riva (for lots of vapor) and maybe a USB passthru for home and the smaller KR808 for the road/work since I'll need to be discreet at my job, and a big bulge...oh, nevermind, that's not gonna sound right however I say it. The point is I can carry a small case with 2 KR808's and a few carto's and that will be light weight and not grab too much attention in my side pants pockets.

Most of the vendors I deal with would be more than willing to take a call or answer an email. I usually deal with LiteCigUSA, IkenVape, MadVapes and VaporJunction. I've sent out an email to both Shawn at LiteCig and Issac at IkenVape at odd times and received answers within an hour. Shawn actually answered me on a Saturday morning within 20 minutes. Issac answered on within an hour and it was after midnight. I'm not saying this is usual, but it is unusual in today's business world. Every vendor I've dealt with has been more than willing to troubleshoot with me and replace non-working items without hesitation or even requiring that I send the broken item back to them first. On one order there was a mix-up with atomizers and I told them I would send the incorrect ones back. He told me to keep them and sent the correct ones that very same day. Now my fiances uses the ones sent in error and he loves them!

I've heard the CigNot and I think it's MyFreedomSmokes are also very good about taking phone calls and walking new people through what they need or how something is supposed to work.

LOL! That's what she said! ;)

You know, eGo makes a passthrough that will also function as a stand alone battery. That might be a wonderful option for you! The KR808 will also function very well and be discreet in your pocket (Yeah, she said that, too.) You might also consider getting a Personal Charging Case (PCC) for the KR808 so you can charge on the go!

I purchased mine thru Liberty-Flights 20% off your whole order!
After reading here for 2 weeks, and saw how highly recommended they were I placed a call to them. I spoke with Tony and he was very helpful in "filling in the blanks" and very patient to answer questions. I think they are also a preferred supplier on here or something like that. Anyway customer service for me was awesome and I recieved my order in 3 days. I've ordered from them 3 times already and each time, 3 days I have my items. They're shipping is a flat $2.99 as well so that's nice.
As far a pre filled carts, sorry I decided the alternate route and can't give you info on who sells them.

It's good to know that some folks still take customer service seriously.

Since I figure we'll eventually want flavors other than tobacco, what have any of you tried and liked? I like the smell/taste of cinnimon, orange, vanilla, and some others of course (coffee, mmmm...) so what are some things any of y'all have liked? These can be either pre-filled carto's or juice to fill a carto as I think I'm actually gonna break down and buy some blank carto's and juice as so many have advised, though it may take a bit to use them.

Do the large carto's work well on the 510's and/or KR808's? What about the low-restance carto's...are they really better? Don't mind hearing from you other noobs, but would love to hear from a vet also. Heck, everybody chime in!)

A word of warning about LR cartos and atomizers; they should NOT be used on regular batteries that are not at least 450mAh. Even with the eGo/Riva type batteries they can still cause problems and they will definitely kill a regular 510 or KR808 slim battery. I know someone else will inevitably chime in and extol the wonders of using an LR atty on their eGo, but some people have lost several eGo batteries by using LR attys. 'Nuff said.

On those occasions when I do buy juice, I buy from either VaporBomb or Gourmet Vapor. From VaporBomb, I really love their Cafe Mocha w/cream and sugar, Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble and Chocolate Mint.
From Gourmet Vapor, I love their Mocha Smoke, RY4, Pom-Blu, Maiden Coffee and Mimosa.

Delicious!

So the LR cartos will work with the Riva? I am about sold on the Riva, but which mAh should I get? I've seen 750, 900, 1100mAh and higher. I also need a good supplier of pre-filled cartos for those to begin with and maybe change to filling my own later.

Also, the LR cartos can't be used on the KR808D-1 380mAh? Or can they (safely)?

I've just about decided to give both the Riva and the KR808 a try. I was going to spend $300-500 or more to start anyway, so may as well get the most bang for the buck and versatility to boot!

Are the VG cartos really that much better?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions. Sorry to be such a noob and all....)

I am new here too :) Hello, everyone. I purchased Kr808D-1 from V2. They have their own forum going on their site and a lot of people having a problems with back order and delay shipment. Their excuses were growing business pain and wear house relocation. It was a much of pain to wait and reading though other people's shipment experience. Then, somebody said to call direct and ask for Stephanie. So I did. Guess what! I got my order filled and shipped the same night. People who use V2 seems to be very satisfied even with very slow order fill. Their website is not connected to inventory system, so we cannot tell what is in stock. If anybody try this company, I strongly suggest to call them direct and ask when order will be shipped or don't try at all. Apparently, not all the Kr808D-1 is equal. It is just the casing of the battery(thread?) is same. Now, I am on the journey to find good e-juice and carto. So far, ce2 V4 was on my list but too many people are not sure yet. So Bloog Maxx Fusion is the next consideration. There are pre-filled and blank, so if you want to fill it later on, just get the pre-filled and keep them with you. (Don't just toss them out :)) e-juice wise, I hear a lot of people like Backwoods Brew got very nice collections. While I am writing this, I just got my first e-cig from V2! I have to try this now!!!
