Hello, Everyone!

I've been vaping since July 24, 2010, starting off the the Blu and finally going with the Volcano. I did very well for a while, but then I got broadsided with something shortly before my one-year anniversary and started smoking analogs again. I've made a plan to quit again, starting September 1st. If I can do it once, I can do it again. It's tough when you have a spouse that smokes, though.

At any rate, I've been lurking on these forums for quite a while and thought it was time to pop in and introduce myself. I've really enjoyed reading the success stories of those who have quit analogs for good. That's my ultimate goal.

Thanks, Renzuli. I've been trying to talk him into switching since I started last year. He tried my e-cigs but they didn't do anything for him. They didn't taste like a "real" cigarette. I don't know if he'll ever quit.

That said, I'm determined to try again and succeed this time. I would like to find an e-cig that puts out more vapor than the Blu or the Volcano.

Hi and welcome :)
I hear a lot of folks "quitting" smoking and winding up putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on themselves. I never actually quit myself and, in fact, have a full pack of smokes in the house. It's been several months since I actually smoked one and have no desire to but..........if I do, I will have failed nothing. I smoked steadily for 45+ years and every day I don't smoke is a bonus.
Get some good gear and juices you like and you'll probably just stop.
I wish you the best of luck
Take it easy :)

Hello DebW! And welcome to the forum. It sounds to me like you have already done yourself a great service- quitting for just under a year is huge! I hope you don't feel any sense of failure. You should be proud of yourself and you deserve to be commended for staying off the carcinogens for so long. Plus, now you know what your triggers to go back to analogs are and how to prepare yourself. Congratulations. :) Glad you're making another go of it- you're part of not only a great resource here, but one of the best support groups I've found to date.

Cheers, :D

Thanks, Kmaddi. The stinky sticks reference made me smile, too. :)

Hi, Summer! I'm trying not to beat myself up because that's useless and self-defeating. Just under a year is the longest I've ever gone without a cigarette. With everything else I tried, I managed to last a few days or a week. It's a tough process, and I'm glad that I found this forum. This is a great community! :)
