Welcome to all the new folks :)

This is a great place to lurk, but an even better place to ask your questions, say hello to others, and eventually, start answering questions for others. I agree with Lurch, you can be tempted to spend money, lots and lots of money.... However, you can control (although I'm not very good at it :D) I have enough tanks, coil heads, kanthal and cotton to last 5 lifetimes. Haven't gone "too" crazy with mods (couple MVPs, couple VV3s, couple Spinners - backups for my backup's backups, right?) Just dropped a (comparatively little) bit of cash on liquids, as I'm now brave enough to venture into DIY - even with some screw-ups, I'm looking at a liter of juice for about $50.

Keep us posted on how you're doing - always glad to follow good news :)

Enjoy the :vapor:

i hear ya on spending money. I have been vaping about a year. ex-smoker 30 years. I am now though making my own juice and hope to start building my own coils soon to cut down on the cost. Its hard though with all the new equipment that keeps coming out. It seems like there is always something new that is exciting coming out that i want to buy.

Hey gpc2012,
Thanks for the links. I've used Desertvapes and vaporbeast. They both have awesome selection at very good prices. I had never heard of the Bionic Vapor before. Happy to see they have a vanilla custard. That will make its way to my next order. Looks like their prices are great as well. I will check out the forum link when I hit my post count. Strange we get such different results from the XI. I wonder if manufacturing tolerances are to blame. Those little air holes on the 510 might be a touch smaller on mine. My 30S stays loaded with caramel coffee for my first morning vape. I don't think I've used it low as it gets topped off and used daily :). My favorite tank that fits the VTR without the adapter at the moment is definitely my aerotank V2. I threw one of kangars 0.8 ohm coils in it, opened the airflow all the way, and set the VV to 3.6 (3.7 tastes a little burned with my 20/80 pg vg). Nice flavor and great vapor production. Wish my nautilus mini would fit but the airflow adjustment ring has raised grips on it that won't clear the VTR's ring.

Congrats Jeremy, After 2+ months you are probably starting to feel your lungs clearing a little. keep it up

Definitely feeling better already. I can clear a flight of stairs without wheezing and hacking up. I don't have the daily morning hacks anymore neither. I know my lungs aren't like they were when I was 18, but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts (I don't know why people say that)they're a whole lot better than they were at this time last year.

When I find something I enjoy I am not too good with fiscal responsibilities. It seems that in the last 2 months a new tank was getting released as I was unboxing the one from my previous order. I rationalized it with I need to find out what equipment I like in order to not smoke. It made me feel a little more at ease about the spending and also got the little lady to accept the fact that I was spending what used to be my smoke money on things to help me not smoke, although it has been a little disproportionate. I haven't fallen down the rabbit hole far enough to start RBA's or DIY liquids yet but I have watched a few youtube vids and know that sooner or later that's the path I will likely be on.

I know I've spent a heck of a lot more on vaping stuff than what I would have spent on cigarettes, but that spending-spree is slowly waning. I consider this both quitting smoking and a hobby, so the current "excess" spent over my former smoking habit is chalked up to "entertainment expense" :D

If the DIY venture goes well, then that aspect of spending will virtually disappear. I turn 50 later this year. I'm hoping I'll hit my break-even point by then, or worst case end of the year. I think that will be the best birthday present... EVER....

Its all a lie!! It's these people here..... they make you spend money!!! Must have ___________, they said it was great!!!!!!

Welcome!

The trick is to figure out what you spent on analogs. deduct 10% just because, divide it in two put half away and spend the other half on Vaping. You end up with over 80 bottles of juice 8 devices and 10 tanks in about 7 months. Only dipped into the other half once. (bought both my sons E Juice for their birthdays) Shop sales, shop the deals and steals, enter contests and it can happen to anyone.

I've been toying with getting an aerotank and a nautilus. Probably use the nautilus on my 134. Where are you getting your coffee caramel from. I gave up trying to find a coffee flavor. after many many failures I decided coffee vape didn't exist. Everything I tried tastes like three day old burnt coffee by the third or fourth vape.

If your looking for a tank for your VTR definitely try the aerotank V2. I do enjoy my nautilus tanks as well, but due to the size primarily use them on my evic supreme. I've been using MBV's caramel coffee and while I can't say it tastes like what I brew at home, it is a pleasant morning vape for me. The only other coffee I've tried was caramel macchiato by Nicter and I'm not really that big of a fan of it. For my taste buds, its far too sweet for a morning vape. I've been putting in a few drops of it with my caramel coffee with my fill-ups just to try to get rid of it without just dumping it.

I already tried three or four from MBV not my cup of tea or coffee. Just didn't taste good to me. Oh well someday maybe. I'll have to be satisfied drinking a pot or two each day and vaping other things. lol
