Hello. I'm new here and a newbie as well. 45 days into this. I'm using a spinner. That's what my budget would allow. I do have several plastic tanks and a new glass tank. I have no clue about coil changes yet.i have about 15 flavors. I'm finding out I like the strong robust flavors and was moved from 12 mg to 16 mg since my cravings were more intense. I have cheated a little but only by a few cigarettes. They stink now. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Just glad I'm finally kicking the analog habit!

I fully agree. I have a few packs of cigarettes myself. Leaving the vape shop I immediately wanting one. Instead I held the ecig like a cigarette and puffed away. That was it. Yes I've snored a few just to make myself feel good for the moment only to regret stinking after the fact. I've been 45 days into vaping and I'm one happy person. I had to increase my nic level to 16 mg though. No biggie. I can always dilute. I go for the strong flavors to curb the craving. Also I change the flavors to help as well. Keep up the great work. I'm 42 and I've been a heavy snooker since I was 14! If I can stop anyone can!

Hi Jan and welcome. Can't really answer your questions because I am so new to all this. But I can so identify with the panic. However I started vaping and within a couple of days I'm off the stinky sticks. This is my second full day without them. I've still got an opened pack but vaping totally satisfies that kick I need.

The best advice is Do What You Can Do. Don't force your self. This will only stress yourself out and make you want a cig even more.
Don't make having a cig convenient, but if you must, do it. But don't make it easy.
If you find your e-cig is not satisfying your craving, up your nicotine. 18mg is what I started with and I never craved a cig.
I got my first e-cig June 1 2013, smoked one cig while waking up the next AM. None since, my switch to vaping was painless. Hopefully your's will be also.

OBTW, if you DR cannot be supportive of your effort, maybe you need a new DR.

Thanks everyone. Positive thoughts is what I need and it sounds like you have all put that demon well and truly behind you.

A couple of years ago, I brought some e-cigs called ClearSmoke and they were useless. Didn't taste of anything and although buying an extra box of 10 cartomisers (which were not cheap), only three of them actually worked, so I gave up.

Vaping starts in the morning, so here goes.

Hi Jan! I'm a newbie also, haven't had a cigarette in almost two weeks now (and freaking proud of it). I smoked for over 30 years. I approached this by letting myself have smokes in the morning, and even took them with me when I left the house. I figured if I wanted one, I would have one, and put no pressure on myself to quit. What I found is that the flavor and taste of vaping was much better than the cigarettes and I found after a couple of days - cigarettes just plain taste AWFUL compared to vaping. I still have some here at home and even in my car, but they have sat for the last two weeks untouched because I know they will taste terrible.
I'm sure everyone has their own approach, just keep vaping and don't leave home without it! You'll get there in your own time. Welcome aboard!

Wow, so much to take in. Thank you all for your welcome and your advice. Give me a bit of confidence to start vaping. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

I have no experience with that device but I do have a bit of experience with the panic. ;)

Just take it slow. There is nothing saying that one way is the correct way of quitting cigarettes. There is a saying that is quite memorable, around here: Don't count the cigs you have, count the ones you don't have.
We are one of the best support systems out there. :)
She's very right in this this. Count the one's you're not smoking. Each one you're not smoking is beget than nothing. Baby steps. I'm proud of what I'm doing this far. Well over a thousand in just 45 days. That's alot for me.a true eye opener!

Great to hear you are quitting! After a bit you may want to upgrade to a mod like a MVP2. You get alot for the bang of your buck. Works awsome and vapes very well. And you can find them for like 35-50 bucks. I myself use a Silver Bullet I believe I payed $84.99 or something like that.

What happens to new people getting into vapeing is your not sure what to buy, so you go through all kinds of starter kits that hardly work and get frustrated. I skipped all that and got me a Silver Bullet and have had 0 problems in 1.5 years.

I'm such a newbie. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Cleaning, coil changing, etc. I'm using a spinner with an extra battery. Have several plastic tanks and a glass one. About 15 flavors. I had to increase from 12 mg to 16 mg. Some tanks won't work on one battery but will work on the other. Any suggestions are ate appreciated since they didn't give me any instructions when I purchased this set up!
