Hi everyone.
I have been browsing this forum for a while and decided to join. I was a 2 PAD smoker for many years. Decided earlier this year to quit for several reasons.
1. My mom passed away March 1st from COPD
2. Wasn't enjoying it any more, and constantly developed respiratory infections every year
3. Tired of wasting money on analogs.

I had free help via a smoking cessation program in Louisiana that helps people quit smoking by way of a lawsuit that the tobacco companies lost. Doctor visits and meds were paid 100%.
Chantix and vaping got me off of analogs since April 24, 2014. Since then its just vaping.

Be very proud of yourself with the vaping, That is wonderful. It is the only thing that has ever helped me. Continued success to you and happy vaping.

Did you vape and do chantix at the same time? If so did it cause you any problems?

Sorry about the delay in replying.

Yes, actually I started vaping before the chantix, but was using those cigalikes.
Along with the medicine, the doctor gave me nicorette as a nicotine replacement. Instead of that I just got a good vape pen. It took about a month to give up analogs altogether but I had no problem taking the medicine and vaping. All chantix does is bind to the receptors that nicotine binds to so you are not getting pleasure from the nicotine. You still have the "hand to mouth" habit and that's where the vaping helped.

It's 7 months today since I quit analogs and I could probably cut down from 12mg nic juice, but I see no reason to just yet. :vapor:
