New members dropping shareasale links

FYI,

I have noticed a couple of new members dropping spam links directed through a site called ShareASale.

If you see a product name hyperlinked (like Provari, or Lavatube etc), take notice if your browser directs you through shareasale.com first, then the product page.

I've only noticed this happening with new users registered since Feb 2014. About six of them now...

Here is an example of the html I viewed the source of from one of the dropped links in a post:

I'm hoping that maybe they are unaware that they are dropping these links, but I doubt it... One of them is on a roll today apparently trying to rack up enough commission to end up getting a free mod or something out of it. Looking at shareasale's site it seems it pays out 10% commission per sale, and the member is dropping the link every other post.

Pretty obnoxious. [edited] Spammers.

If you mouse over the link and it says "This link changed by ECF" it's perfectly fine and kosher. Any other affiliate type link should be reported.

Apparently... I guess that servers, admin and maintenance have to be paid. Now, on the other hand, what is ECF's privacy policy?

Did everyone watch the 60 minutes piece this weekend on the sale of YOUR privacy information? If not, you really should... You really have no idea... FYI, I no longer use google or facebook, aka spybook.

Well now.

It is what it is. As long as this is in the user feedback area, lemme just express my opninion that it is annoying.

There should be a sticky or something making people more aware of it. It makes a poster look like they're shilling.
