Zofryer,
I have been working all morning taking pics and getting text ready for my thread on dual atomizer mod and i just saw yours. I don't want to step over yours in any way, tell me what you think, i can wait till later on to post it.
Thanx

It's not like I invented the idea. This is just my take on it. Lets see yours.

Series. The batteries are sitting side-by-side in the "box" part of it. One is upside down. Full 6v.

then both atty's would likely be running around 4 - 4.5v ... Once you take in to fact the resistance from both -- Like 2 big resistors !!! Should run circles around a parallel setup with dual atty's ...

that is an awesome idea kinabloo ... although I likely won't ... Still would be cool for a *How-To* on how to do it for devices ....

so ... wanna do it to your PD to see how it looks ?!?!?! :D

The *fun* of what you are missing here is, and something that would probably be easy for you to whip up (I know I'm going to now since I just thought of it) is how amazingly friggin easy it would be to make a dual atomizer adapter for the Prodigy.

You can name it after me. : )

EDIT: And to be clear, I'm saying an adapter that screws on my 801 prodigy threads and gives me two 801 connectors.

Indeed, or any other PV. Set the three connectors in some sculp and you have an adaptor for any PV.

Only caution though would be with unprotected batteries as the dual attys would really be drawing big current.

This is a rather exciting idea :)

Sounds like you have the batteries in seroes to get 6v and the attys in parallel, 6v to each. Otherwise if took one atty off, it wouldn't work.

That's correct, the atomizers are in parralel. I wanted to be able to run 1 atty 6v, and assumed there would be some degradation to each atomizer running in parrallel. Damn. No wonder it hurts. I was only able to take 2 second pulls before coughing.

He's the bread board man, so I wouldn't put anything past the guy!

He's probably tested it :)

I didn't have the flat tip mouthieces so joined the mouthieces into one with a similar sculpting putty (the tubes can be surprisingly small, even q-tip tubes work well). Another way would be to use some flexible tubing and a connector (such as graden watering drippers).

Slight degradation possibly, but with good batteries, only slight. Probably not more than 1/2v or so when near full charge.

edit: with the CR batts perhaps a bit more as they are quite small, and 1A+ per atty is really a lot of current to the ask of them.

Since the Sculpt is someone high temp (300F) and non-toxic, I was thinking about making a custom mouthpiece that holds 4ml. Should be fairly easy.

Thank you for thinking of me Steve..:D:oops:

Zo this is fantastic and I'm amazed how interesting ya'll make these things. All of you inventors and your questions and suggestions, there's so much to learn and I sure am enjoying it!

Thanks. I can't take credit for anything because I doubt I'm the first person that came up with batteries in series, atomizers in Parallel. I am going to take credit for the 1-to-2 atomizer adapter idea. I've never seen that. CORRECTION: WARP1900 beat me to the 1-to-2 idea with a regular Y rca adapter. The only original idea was Kin's (it could work on any PV), and that was Kin's.

It's a real goer !

Seriously, I can see this becoming as ubiquitous as passthroughs, say

I can kick myself, looking back; so close and yet ...

Made the adaptor for the mouthpieces but not for the connectors - aaaargh!

The REAL fun of this if you think about it is if it turns into a gilette razor 8 bladed type thing were people are putting 3-5 atomizers in an adapter, running huge batteries, and making a custom 3-5 into one mouthpiece that holds 10ml of juice.

The best numbers of attys for arrangement/design would be 2, 3, and 7 (one in center). But 7 is really going too far. I have every intention of building the 3 atty one though; arranged in an equilateral triangle with 3 into 1 mouthpiece connector.

One could use 3 Zofryer adaptors to get a 4 atty design; which is also nice arrangement; would need 1x Kina 4-bit mouthpiece though ;) Or 3 of the standard 2-bit ones. This would look like a refinery, lol

I'm willing to bet the voltage drop on 3 atomizers in parallel would put them all in that 5v sweet spot territory. I can tell you from just trying again, I'm getting more then 5v to each of these atomizers. It still needs another hour before it's sandable, then I'll take a quick quickcam vapor production video before I do the battery cover.

I'll look out for it :)

I know warp kind of got their first with the adaptor - but his requires 3 other adaptors too - 4 in all. But is more versatile.

Still room for specific, smaller, ones; perhaps with matching decor for the intended PV.
