New mod, new wire!

Hello guys! So, about an year ago I bought 10 meters of kanthal A1 26ga . It's almost over. At the time, i only used mechanical mods so the kanthal suits just fine.

Nowadays I'm using a Evic VTC Mini, and I love this. It also supports SS, Ti, Ni, etc etc.

Also, i had read that kanthal isn't the "cleanest" wire, SS gives more flavor, Ni are safest, etc etc. It's just so much information that makes me confuse.

So, I need your opinion: which wire should I get? It will be used in all my rta/rda (Kayfuns, Goliath, Subtank, Velocity) and with my VTC Mini. I just wanted the safest and best flavor oriented experience.

Ti or SS. I'm not sure how well the vtc mini utilizes ss wire (as there are quite a few alloys suitable for vaping, with the TCR values varying a bit). I feel ti is a better wire than ni200 for TC. SS is a great general use wire, especially if you subohm on a mech. Between the two ss is definitely easier to work with; ti likes to retain its memorized shape more than other wires. Ti also can form titanium dioxide if you heat it up too much. I'd say the jury is still out on how harmful titanium dioxide is, though I know that many will disagree with my opinion as I believe there are some studies that point to titanium dioxide as a carcinogen. I have family friends that have been welding ti for the aerospace industry for years with no apparent health consequences, and titanium dioxide has been used in sunblocks (don't confuse it with PABA) for decades with no major associated health risks, so personally I am skeptical of the fear.
At any rate, ti is much safer than ni200, and both ti and ss are easier to get electronically stable coils built with.
Personally, I would avoid ni200, use steam engine to figure out the guage of ti or stainless that yields a coil in the middle of the tc resistance range for your mod in the physical size you prefer.

I recently got some Nichrome 80 after only using Kanthal for the last year and half. I like it, the flavor is slightly better then Kanthal and I think it last longer too, it doesn't get rusty like kanthal does after a few dry burns. You can build lower than kanthal with less wraps at the same gauge. I almost always use 26Ga in kanthal and got the 26Ga NiCh80. I always build dual coil parallels with 26Ga.

I hate Ni200 and how soft it is, don't like building spaced coils and it's hard to build dual coils and get the resistance where you want it without it barely fitting in a rda.

I've had a chance to get a few feet of Ti from a shop and built some dual coils at. 2ohms, .3 ohms and. 4 ohms and the Snow Wolf V1 would never recognize it and jump into power mode, I got it too work one time for 5 minutes then when I came back to it it jumped out of TC and wouldn't go back. That one to it worked it was better than Ni200. So basically you can say I've never tried Ti successfully.

I've never used Stainless Steel to comment on it. I do have a VTC Mini coming tomorrow from the MFS black Friday sale and a Herakles Plus with a pack of SS coils from VapeNW on black Friday but I don't know when it will be here since the Tracking doesn't show they received it from them yet since Tuesday. I am excited to give SS and the Mini a try for the first time I might have to call VapeNW and remind them to give it to USPS.

Tried SS today with my Trident with TC , 420°F @ 30W 0.70 Ohm , and was very good! I will receive a velocity soon, and I will build it with SS and Ti to see how it performs..

Just make sure you do everything by the book and make sure the RDA doesn't have any loose connections that will cause issues. TC can be fickle if you aren't careful.

I bought an evic vtc mini a few days ago. I guess the ss profile is for 304 ss, I'm using 316L and it is working very well. Better than my evic VT60 did with ti.

My wife and I are breaking is our new eVIC MiNIs this week but with Kanthal as I am still unsure of what wire/gage/brand etc is safest and the most reliable.
I watched a ton of Youtubes from many on TC with the eVIC MINI and others but no one seemed to mention about the wire other than to give results with SS, TI, NI and how it worked.
I personally think these manufactures or vendors would publish on their web sites with the descriptions of the mods which wire is recommended.
Anyone have a good source for ordering NI, TI and SS...preferably from the same site.

I already tired SS and Ti with TC, and I have to say that I like SS the most. At the moment, I have Ti in my Subtank and SS in my Velocity, and the Ti at first was very good (Nice flavor, dense clouds and hot/warm vape) but after 3/4 days the vape is cold and without favor.. I really dont know why, but my SS coil continues doing a great job.

Exactly, the SS can be used in wattage mode to.. And it offers a much cleaner vape than kanthal.. If I'd sure that using SS in TC or Wattage is as safe as kanthal, I would be a happy user..

I just order a spool each of 24 and 26 SS and was thinking about ordering a spool of TI but was unsure about it.
But based on your comparison...you seem to feel you'd be ok if someone came and stole all your Kanthal and TI and left your SS!

I am happy with Kanthal for power only vaping but with the TC...I don't have a clue but SS just it just seems what I will settle with!!

Yes, I prefer SS over titanium. The next build over on my Subtank will be with SS. It works well with TC, and you have the advantage of use watts to. I just wanted to know wich wire is safest to vape, but I think is to soon for that.

This is where I just ordered from....but for some reason you can't order but two spools.
I tried to put 1 spool of each gauge in my shopping cart but got the message that I could only put 2 in....so I got the 24 and 26 spools!!
