Hey guys, haven't posted here in close to a year, but I figured I should consult the collective vaping mind on deciding what new mod to purchase.

The fire button on my 50W eLeaf iStick is beginning to malfunction, so I'm looking to get a similiar mod that is between 50-100w, has high battery capacity, and is between $30-70. I used a Subtank Nano on it 100% of its life, but now am also looking for a larger capacity tank (3-5ml). I still have some Kanger Clapton coils left over, so another Kanger tank would probably be best. I was hoping the Kanger Topbox's tank was sold separately, but cannot seem to find it on the market.

Something else worth mentioning - I'm not sure I want to delve back into the replaceable battery world, as I sold all my mech mods, RBAs, and batteries a year ago since I wanted to dial back. I really appreciated the iStick's passthru battery and charging ability, and from what I hear, a passthru mod with replaceable batteries is encouraged to use a wall charger instead of charging them directly through the Micro USB port due to potential complications.

So far, the MVP 3 Pro and Coolfire IV are contenders with their internal cell batteries and high capacity. I've also been eyeballing the Kanger Topbox and Subox kits (gotta love Kangers); although they use replaceable batteries, I could definitely put up with it depending on how good the battery life is vaping around 30w.

The newer eVic is beginning to look like a decent option too.

Anyone want to throw me their 2 cents?

Appreciated in advance.

I would take an Innokin mod over any mod built by Kanger , they make great tanks but their mods are not Innokin quality .

if i were in your shoes i'd look at the Tesla Nano 60w or Tesla Nano 100w Steampunk. they have a non steampunk version too. but i found the steampunk one for $49 where the regular is about $80. the 60w is $39.99 at vapenw. the 60w is 3600mah and 100w is 4500mah.

Awesome.

I think I'm inbetween the CoolFire IV Plus and the Tesla 60w.

The iSub Apex that come with the CoolFire IV Plus seems to be a pretty good tank to switch over from the Subtank Nano. I haven't checked into the Tesla Tornado yet.

Getting closer.

I found that I can get either the CoolFire IV Plus as a standalone mod called the Express Kit, or I can get the Tesla 60w Nano as a standalone without the Tesla Tornado tank as well. Both the iSub Apex and the Tesla Tornado underwhelm me, and I'd prefer to stay with Kanger tanks, so I think I'm definitely going to grab a Toptank Mini.

CoolFire IV Plus Express Kit + Kanger Toptank Mini

or

Tesla 60w Nano TC + Kanger Toptank Mini.

I really don't need the temperature control of the Tesla, but I really like the form factor and its heavy weight. Anyone have either of these mods and can give testament?

Well, i am an innokin fan boy so I would lean that way on reputation alone. I have a CFIV but not the plus. When the IV came out one of the biggest comments was the ergonomics and how good it felt in the hand.
The Plus is bigger and I have not handled one but it seem to be very similar in design. As for liking the heavyness of the Tesla, personally, lighter is better. You have to carry that thing around in your pocket all day. As for temp. control, I have two mods with it and never use it.

Best of luck with your purchase!
