I wonder if we will be able to bypass the switch to use our own.

This is going to be very interesting :)

Think I'm gonna like having the fire button and wattage adjust button built on the board.....alot less wiring and more compact.....gotta start looking for a smaller package to put it in.....

As soon as I find out what size the board is and how it's configured with the up/down wattage control the search for a beeuuutiful aluminum case to put it in is on! If the board is not too big, it may fit in the Lexi case.

Awesome too that we don't need to wire in a trimmer!!

I'm thinking this is gonna be totally easy peasy! :toast:

I agree. I like some fancier buttons. I'd hope to see through-hole solder lugs for switch alternatives, as well as alternative adjustment controls. You know, if I want to design a box with the location of all the external components in specific spots. I'll be watching for the release. Price-point is going to be the biggie. I mean, Brandon has developed a one-of-a-kind electronics design for our demographic, so we're limited to what he can deliver and at whatever price-point he demands. I've talked to my eldest step-son, who's an EE @ TI about developing a circuit that performs in-kind with Brandon's creations, but he's so busy with his career that it's like pulling teeth just to get him to cut the grass lol. I'll be watching...

I'm getting about 3/4 of a day of vaping time @ 14W with the 1200mAh, 20C li-poly. There's not enough room in the Lexi case to fit 2.

So I took that batt out, shortened the atty switch contacts in the Lexi (I needed room to slide the li-poly batt under the switch contacts), and am now able to fit one of these 1500mAh, 20C li-poly batts. It comes wired 2 batts in series, so I desoldered and took them apart to use just one. Now I'm getting 1-1/2, sometimes almost 2 days, vaping time.

7.4v 2s1p 1500mAh 20C Lipo Battery

Another option I have used in the Lexi is 3.7v IMR High Drain 18350 - 800mAh - 2 in parallel......getting 1.5 to 2 days at 8.4 watts..... thinking that removing the big fire button and the pot will free up some room in which ever enclosure used, but we will see....

decisions....decisions....what fun....

From the video of the beta version it shows thru holes at each button locations.....that may indicate auxiliary buttons can be used.....but we will know more when the final version is available....
