I just ordered a large Nautilus and a 10 pack of 1.6Ω BVCs, should I just set aside the stock heads for emergency back up? I'm hearing they vape poorly compared to the BVCs.

The stock heads are what you use for your buddies that come over to drink your booze and mooch a coil from you.

I threw my old ones in the trash can. I figured if I save them I'll probably won't remember where I stored them. Just save some new ones if I were you.

Full size Naughty w/BVC reads 2.0 on my P2 mini w/18490 AW IMR lets me hit at 15.68 watts

My DIY Hawk Sauce 12mg 40/60 started tasting roasty after a few minutes at 15.68 watts

I turned it down to 13.52 watts and it's back to tolerable and tasty

Mouth-lung using the second smallest hole.
I tried lung hitting my 12mg HS with the largest hole and wow. I can see why cloud chasers use low nic.
Stop spinning already.

This Naughty Aspire is damn impressive :vapor:

I bought a nautilus right before I got my first Provari in July, HATED the bdc coils. Been using the bvc coils for a month now, starting around 3.8v when I first put it in, and bump up slowly. Regular range for me is 4.5-5v, any higher and tastes burnt. Ive gotten 14 days before having to switch them out so far, saw somewhere in here they can be cleaned w/ everclear and rinsing w/ water, might have to try that. Anyone else clean the bvc coils and reuse?

Just this week I soaked 4 heads in Vodka overnight and rinsed the next morning. Let them dry for 48 hours and put one in a tank this morning. It is vaping just like it was brand new. Haven't tried to clean more than once yet.

I do think the Nautilus both standard and mini BVCs are pretty good! I do notice the taste diminishes after about 2-3 refills before the coils seem to be needing a cleaning. But, I thought I read some peeps were able to get the volts up past 5.2 on the ProVari with these.

I tried and i got the E2 message. I'd love to go a bit higher with the 1.8 ohm or even the 1.6 but I'm not able to

Could someone clarify something for me, please?

Aren't the two coils (1.6R and 1.8R) that come with the Nautilus and Mini tanks the same BDC coils as come in the replacement 5 packs? I see comments here about the "stock coils being inferior". I think I'm still using the stock coil that came installed in my Mini. And still have the two 1.8R coils that came in the full Nautilus and Mini packages. When I get my Provari I want to try them - my replacement coils are 1.6R. I'd like to know if they are identical to what I would get in a 1.8R replacement pack.

After a few weeks with the BVC coils --I get about 15ml ( 3 tanks on the large one) of really good taste and then I change them. All 4 that I cleaned worked like new. I still haven't done a second cleaning so don't know if they will go beyond one cleaning with great flavor. I am really picky though, some may get more mileage than me. I have only had them up to 5V, I find most all the juices I use do best around 4.8-5V. I do use mostly 50/50.

Thanks, RB. I got out a magnifying glass and an Ott Light and peered down into the two respective spares, and looked at the imprinted info, and now understand what I got :)

A lot of discussion about cleaning... my instinct is to soak them in isopropyl alcohol, not Vodka, just because it's cheaper and I don't keep Vodka around. What is the reason for using more expensive Vodka? Because it is "food grade"? Wouldn't any alcohol evaporate fairly quickly?

I've soaked old coils in water and then dried them. Have not tried resuing them yet, until I learned more about maybe better methods of cleaning.
