Wow - overwhelming stuff (to me). Sounds very lofty, but obviously works for you. I'm too narcissistic to have that sort of goal. Of course, right now, just trying to find a job (was laid off in March). Sucks, sort of. I've caught up on a lot of reading, TV and movies, and spent extra time with family, so it's been decent so far. :)

I don't really need a case for all that...was sardonic mostly. :) I have a backpack with a perfect size outside pocket that I use if I must take them all with me (like going to a vape meet or a vape shop, or travelling, etc.). Usually I just take 2-3 of the eGo or GoGo style devices with me (in case I need/want a new flavor or a batt dies). Having a case, for me, would be something to lose.

I figured you didn't need a case ;-). I'm still trying to figure out what I 'need'. I think something like:

  • 1 Assembled Smoke in pocket
  • case with following:
  • 2 Spare Batteries
  • 1 Usb Charger
  • 6-8 Cartos

Would be enough for any situation for me. Being on day 2, I just designed based on what I had, what I had tried, and what I will try. In the future, I plan on dialing things in for 1-2 clearomizers and maybe a small bottle of juice. No clue yet though. I'm a tinkerer, so I'll probably have a large stack of tins with various setups for various situations.

Oh, and to add, what is a good battery to carto ratio to you guys?

I've never thought about a ratio that way, I just have enough clearos for all the flavors I may want available at a given time (5-6). I also have 5-10 replacement heads (I use T2 & Vivi Novas) and 2-3 empty clearos stored. I have 3 GoGos, 2 Vision Spinners and a mini Lavatube VV in rotation. These were collected over the last year. I'm a heavy vaper, & I like at least 3-4 batts charged & available at all times. :D

Giving a full idea of the capacity

Tat small triangle in the side is for a ribbon to go through for extraction.

The trough for the 3rd set of cartos in the bottom was a little narrow. they don't come out easily with the condoms. Rev 2 will fix that. Also thinking about taking apart a USB charger and adding a charger embedded into the plastic. Will have to see how full they are.

... I did say I was a nerd ;-)

I applaud thou! I have an idea in my head that I will try to draw and send you. Allowing a male to conect to a female layed in one side of the altoids with a 510 threading on the opposite end of the box to allow charging while the box is closed. that would be slick for on the go users. pop a male to male in a car outlet and charge via box.

You have a physics background yet you are in cnc? elaborate more if you can. or is it just a hobby?

I was wondering if I would run into other geeks on here. I have had a few ideas which likely will go no where. An automated juice mixer was one. Not too different from some of the instruments that we build. I was also wondering about a different delivery method. Though no doubt that has been looked at and discarded. I would really love a 3D printer. The the cost/benefit ratio rule that out for now.

Well, I went to college for pure physics. The problem is, you need a masters out doctorate to really do anything with physics. After college, I got into IT, at a manufacturing place. Later, my friend started a robotics company and brought me on to design and program the guidance stuff.

On the side, I had gained knowledge on cnc so I use the big boy mill in the shop occasionally. My machine can really only cut wood and plastic.

s0be I sent you a friend invite. That is awesome, I want to get into some cnc work myself, I plan to call a local shop and try and get a American Mod/Hybrid designed and a limited run made for ecf members interested.

Did you return to school for IT or just landed a good position? What machine do you own?

While I was in school, I got kicked out of my work study in the Physics department, and was shipped off to work in IT in the library. Two of the guys I was working with graduated, started a company, and hired me. Spent a few years doing that, then moved on.

I have a Zen Toolworks 12x12 with the fast eights upgrade. Can only really cut plastics. Technically, it'll do metals, but I don't have the patience to cut at .1 IPM to do soft metals like Aluminum. I fear what cutting a hard metal like brass would be like. I'm also a moderator on the ZTW forums.

Today, I ordered my first 'supplimental' supplies to continue the vapor life.

From Vaporkings I ordered:

5 Clearo's
1 808 Pushbutton Passthrou
1 808 Pushbutton Battery
1 Extra USB Charger
1 10ml D'Jarum Black E-Liquid

and From Johnson Creek:

2 Marcado 5ml Samples
1 Espresso Sample
1 Arctic Mentho Sample (Friend wants to try an ecig)
1 Mint Chocolate Sample
1 Needle tip travel dropper bottle.

With the remaining cartos I have, I think I should be fine with just 5 clearo's. People talk about using vodka to clean out their cartos and clearos. Do people just use the cheapest 5 o'clock vodka they can get?

I've not used vodka, but that's what I've read, that people use the cheap stuff for cleaning; dries faster than water. I was going to, but then they came out with the clearos with replaceable heads (rebuildable Stardusts & T2's, etc., all 510 style though), so now I just replace the heads and wash out the clearo with water. Works great for me. :)

Any additions I should get on order sooner than later? What did I I not order that I wanted?

I am familiar with VaporKings. Just placed a small order with them again over the weekend. Had my shipping notification by 9am this morning. I am happy with their products, service and prices. One time I received the wrong product. I filed a customer service request and had the correct product within a few days. Fast & efficient is how I would describe my 'problem'. Stuff happens and they knew how to handle it.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us. Happy Vaping :toast:

Yes, I received shipping notice from vaporkings yesterday, and from johnson creek today. I hope they're all in this week. I'm in michigan on business until thursday though, so won't likely see them sooner than then.
