Oof... Please don't hit the vertical .5 Ohm coils at 60w... They may handle it, but you're vaping at a scorching 6.0+ volts.

I do like the black one for the 1.5 coils though :) I'm very impressed with Kanger and how they are selling a lot of quality (see: not the Kbox) VV/VW devices that match the tanks.

I actually use my original kbox alot. It is my work horse of sorts. I use it when I go to the river or do yard work.

That came off a bit harsh... I have the Subtank Plus and I would love to get a Kbox, but I don't want to reck my battery wraps, or my 510 (I read they sandblasted the threads to match the finish). Good to know it will last :)

I have used the same 2 18650s with my kbox and have had no problem with either. The 510 is smooth and is spring loaded. Fires everything down to .4ohms. The battery replacement does take a few tries to get it perfected, but isn't difficult as long as you take your time. Kinda like cleaning the firing button on a mod :p

I saw this product some weeks ago. It took me awhile and many site searching but I discovered its just a little smaller than the subox mini. It has the same internal workings as the subox mini, its just designed for the nano tank. Although it comes in more colors, you're better off with the mini. The reason is that I think the nano would look weird with a bigger tank.

I do not recommend dripping on this mod because it is not sufficient to fire sub-ohm builds. RDA are more focused on sub-ohming for the clouds and powering flavors. You still can if you want to, but this mod if you fire about 30watts and above even with powerful 30A batteries, it won't allow to fire continuosly. It will go hot very fast and that becomes uneasy, and the mod will blink to let you know that the battery is not powerful enough to fire again.

I remembered doing a .3ohm build and went up to 35watts, after about 5-6 puffs the kbox wont allow me to fire anymore although I have 3bar of battery life. IMO its not that you can't but I don not recommend it as you don't get the best out of the RDA if you do so. The Kbox is best enjoyed at higher ohms with the Subtank Mini, good balance of flavors and clouds.

I am a Kanger fan, but when it comes to the mod, the eVic VTC Mini is better in every way......for the same price.
When the subox came out I reeeeeealy wanted one but couldn't justify it because I have and ipv mini 2 already. I really liked the battery door on the subox but that didn't seem worth it to buy a whole new mod.

Now the Evic, well that's a worthy upgrade. Have mine on order from fasttech just waaaaaaiting......

I own a Evic VT and have just got myself the Evic VT Mini, performs just as the VT does but in my opinion is better with the button push as opposed to the top lever on the VT. I guess the Pink and Purple Kangers are primarily to catch the females vapors eye however from a pure item specific point of view I would go for the Mini every time. Anyway I only have a brown handbag and they would all clash with it!!!!

But I really want to love this one, it's so cute! Has anyone worked out the settings to use on this one with .15 coils to not burn a hole in your throat? I just accidentally bought a stack of the coils that burn hottest.. And 0.5 are too hot

Are you using the 0.15 coils in wattage mode? If so - The 0.15 coils are intended for Ni mode and should never be used in wattage mode as it is highly dangerous....
1) You cannot use nickel on wattage mode for two reasons. First, you run a risk of vaping some very objectionable stuff if you overheat nickel. Temp. control solves that issue, but in voltage control it could theoretically get hot enough to behave inappropriately. Second, nickel does not behave like Kanthal. The resistance rises dramatically when heated, so while you have a room temperature .15 coil, when heated the resistance is significantly higher. You'll get far less vapor than a higher resistance kanthal coil. So you run more risk, and get less reward. Nickel is not a good idea used in this way.

2) In temperature control mode, nickel works very differently. That rising resistance is perfect, since it makes the temperature of the coil easy to measure. A properly-functioning mod will take it up to the set temperature (or the highest temperature for the power setting) and pulse power to hold it there. That gives you consistent vapor output.

Thanks for this, I only did one draw with the new coil, but it was nasty, so I looked up the coils to make sure you could use them in this machine.. You can't. It has no temp control, just wattage. I am using the 1.5 coil now, at low wattage, and the draw is too tight, I don't much like it. Also it has a funky off taste regardless of the juice I use.. Might give up on this one and rely on my joyetech tv mini.. Much nicer.

It really confused me that Kanger released the subox and it wasn't temp control. They have temp control coils for the tank but the mod it comes with can't use them. Like wtf?

Just an accident waiting to happen as you are a good example. Companies like Kanger are entry level devices sold to the masses so they should be more careful with these things. I wonder, is there any warnings in the instructions of the subox to make sure people do not try to use the temp coils with it?

Honestly I'm not surprised that you ended up doing that. I mean really. You buy a box mod that comes with a tank specifically for it. You go out and buy some coils made specifically for that unit/tank. Why the hell shouldn't they work? Bad call on Kangers end imo.

Don't get me wrong, I love Kanger stuff. I know others will say "well you should do your research" and all that stuff but thing is that a lot of noobs don't know this stuff or that they even have to bother researching. Kanger stuff is directed at noobs so ya....

No, it's my fault, I confused subox nano with sub tank nano.. You can use the 0.15 coils with the sub tank.. The subox comes with 0.5 sub ohm coil and a 1.5 coil the 0.5 one was too hot and harsh as well... But I don't think dangerous. Because I vape at low ohms with the VTmini, I didn't really think about how it would work when not controlling temp. Anyway.. Despite how much I like the way it looks, if this was my only mod, I would probably not stay off the cigs. So I wouldn't recommend it.
