I am not sure which title fits me best.

It was in early July of 2012, after 52 years of smoking 2 PAD of Camels that I just had to do something different.

I went to the mall and found a vender at a kiosk selling the Fifty-One brand of electronic cigs. I tried one with ry4 blend and quite liked it. As it turned out the price was pretty steep considering online prices, but it got me started. I smoked my last analog on July of 2012. I joined ecf in Aug of 2012, and for the next 2 years found what I needed just by reading the posts in here.

On May 5 this year I decided to stop altogether and threw away everything I had acquired over the last 2 years. Batteries, chargers, juice, tanks, everything gone....for 5 months and I could stand it no more. I picked up a kit at the corner market and some juice and 2 weeks later my lungs feel like they did after all those years of smoking.

I have decided DIY is the answer and I now vape a 50/50 PG/VG blend with no nic and no flavor and it seems to satisfy the craving just fine.

Sorry to have lurked for so long but with the others asking my questions I did not need to. Thanks to all for that.

to ecf davec48. So glad you are here. Make yourself at home. Congrats on the being smokefree. Isn't it wonderful. I honestly think I am more addicted to vaping than I ever was to the 40 some years of smoking I did. I just love it. Hope to see you around and hope you will post more often. There are such wonderful people around here. Have fun.

Now this is a cool thing!
I have wondered about this. I thought about the fact that eventually I will want to just give them all up.or slow down, or what ever... I forgot that almost all the flavors are offered in zero nicotine and that the craving would be pacified.
I am proud of you Dave for not buying a pack of smokes, but rather getting back into the electronic scene.
Especially when the regular cigs are found easier. I am very proud of you!!!
(((hugs)))
