New Orion 2.1 Owner ~Clueless and need a little help :)

I got an orion 2.1 new about a month ago and now it is not firing. here is what I do know (I hope it helps someone who has a clue to guide me to a fix)

It hasn't leaked into the switch at all.
It was working fine and then I took the upper screws off to clean everything and hasn't worked since. (I know rut-Ro)
If I put the battery pos end up it will fire.

If it will fire with the battery up does that mean I DO NOT need a new switch or is that not relevant?

Thank you all very much for your help, I've been searching the sites for two days and can't seem to find an answer!

That's a riddle to me....

Have you tried both 650 and 350 batteries? Are you using flat or button tops?

If it's firing with the battery in upside down, the contacts are still passing current, but I don't know if that can eliminate the switch itself as the culprit.

If you look up through the tube into the switch, do you still see movement of the switch, the little white part that the button outside contacts?

If all else fails, maybe ask Pailpoe over on VW.

Unirevolt Thank you for taking the time to assist me,

I know it is weird. I have tried both batteries and they both work upside down. I was using the flat tops but added a magnet to one and still no go.

I can't see anything moving around. and when i hit the button with no battery in it, it makes the little click sound.

I noticed on another thread someone had the same problem but, they didn't have an answer, said they thought it might be the positive not grounding?? I will see if I can find that thread again.

Glad it's not just me doing something wrong LOL!

I took the switch assembly apart and put it back together and it started working again?? Don't know for how long. I made sure the button was aligned with the internal switch. Not to confident that it will last, we'll see?? I just took it apart because someone on one of the boards made the suggestion that the center post might not be making the connection. good luck!
