New penstyle acting up

I just recieved my Black Classic pen style e-cig from PureSmoker yesterday. Was going to use this as my main e-cig as I have a 901 and an NjoyPro, both of which I love, and next week im quitting analogs for good. Well, I excitedly charged 1 battery for 12 hours overnight, and have vaped on it a bit today. I went to take a long (4 second or so) drag on it, produced a lot of vapor, but the atomizer kept running after i stopped! So I immediatly disconnected the cartridge (original cart. I havnt dripped or anything with it yet) and it stopped, scared me a bit. I bravely took another drag after a little while, and got nothing but a hiss, no vapor, and the tip didnt light up at all. I unscrewed and put it back together, worked fine for a few short drags. Then same thing, no vapor or light, only a hiss. Just wondering if anyone can give some advice on this, im perplexed and dissapointed! Thanks!

I too have a penstyle that I have used exclusively for about three weeks and it pulls the same stuff. It keeps going well after I've stopped. Point is, I've had no issues with it failing. It keeps sizzling after 3-5 seconds and the LED will blink five times and shut off.

Thanks keg, that puts my mind at ease. Its probably a fairly minor flaw then that I can put up with. I never expected perfection with these things, and Im glad to hear its not a e-cig killer issue.

LOL, maybe mine is having worse problems than that now. I set it down in idle mode on the desk, about a half hour later I happened to look down at it and saw that the blue led was lit, I havnt vaped in a while nor has there been any kind of moving air in the room at all! The atomizer was hot as heck from running for I dont know how long. Im not trusting this at all.

I just bought a new penstyle and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for my problem....

The battery end stays lit. I can set it down gently, and it is off, then when I glance over at it.... it is on again. This has to be draining the battery.

Anyone know any tricks on how to get this to stop?

BTW, I have an EVO, and a DSE901 and this penstyle is awesome! I just need to figure out this battery thing. As much as I love my other two... I suspect the penstyle will be my e-cig of choice.

I ordered an extra battery for my "Smoking Everywhere" mini. It did something similar to yours. I wrote the company I bought it from and they sent me a new one right away. New battery works OK. I highly recommend the company - electriccigarettemart.com

AnglVapin, this sounds like an unstable switch. One thing that can help is: screw off the battery, then try blowing, then sucking on it in quick succession for a bit. The light should go on (blow) and go off (suck, or alternatively not do anything though this last will go a bit slower). If you indeed see this as a result (or if you see that it's 'on it's way' to get there, then in that case just continue for a while longer with this) - then try screwing it onto the atomizer again, see if it now behaves better.
You might have to repeat these steps for a couple of days, because just letting the pen sit without using it might bring back the unstableness for a while yet - but after a few days, the switch should be working okay and if it doesn't, then I would advise to swap it if you can - then it's probably going to stay a troublemaker.

Also, just to be sure, clean the contacts well (threads but also the small plates that touch each other) - impurities on the contacts can cause some strange things too.

I hope this helps a bit, good luck on getting it to work (and I think you are right in favouring the pen-style btw - it IS good when it works well )

Don't throw the pen away, flavours are best with the pen and cigars imo and it has a great throat hit with fully charged battery!

Sent the battery back for a replacement

Yes it is the Joye510 is the same as the Dura-C/Titan/Yeti and theres a couple more names for it I believe and you are gonna love it... I hope the one they send you has both Manual Batts reason for this is not only is there no cut-off but the batterys are also sealed so dripping will not damage your batterys... Just be religious about the initail 8 hour charge, use 20 mins then charge for another hour... also never charge after that for less than an hour even if the light turns green I like to charge for 2-3 hours and I get a decent battery life before re-charge... and the Vapor OMG makes my M401 & PeeWee look like ......ed rejects...
