So about a month ago, I recieved my 650 mAh Kanger battery, and a Kanger bottom coil clearo. (The katana kit on vapedojo.com) and I love it. I got the fruit sample pack of juice and those taste great. I have absolutely no problems with my setup and give it 5/5.

BUT

I am looking to upgrade. I want to move up to the 1000 mAh kanger battery, and the protank 3. I dont know how good of a mix this is or how it will work. I want more vapor and better flavor. Is there any other options i should consider? Also, what site should i get it on?
P.S. I do not want a VV battery. I would like to stick to standard.

Glad to see that you started with such a great setup! I think a longer lasting battery is always a good idea so you can use your smaller eGo as a backup.

The Protank 3 is pretty hit and miss, most folks think that the Protank 2 gives the same exact vape, and you can easily rebuild those heads if you so choose to.

I'd highly recommend Discount Vapers, and My Vapor Store to pick up your new gear. They have good prices and good customer service.

Also, why do you not want a VV battery? They are only a few dollars more, and offer you the chance to really fine tune your vape. Perhaps if you cranked up your voltage a bit, your could get your vape to right where you want it. Just some thoughts. Cheers!

honestly with out control of voltage your protank will only be as good a the kanger bcc. changing the head for the lower resistance 1.5ohm might make it slightly better but not by much.

since you are looking at a 1000mah battery why not get a twist or spinner 1000mah ego battery to put the protank on. having the luxury of adjusting voltage with out the size of a vv mod.

Hi, Welcome to ECF .. and the issues of spending lots of money to settle in on the right gear. IF.. you do a little research the Kanger Protank 3, using the dual coils seems to be an issue.. I suggest a second battery, 1100 mAh, and a Kanger Evod or another Mini Protank 2. In-other-words, your main kit is doing really well, so get similar, so the heads you will have to buy match up with what you have. Another option would be to buy the same starter kit and another battery. It seems to me that three batteries are optimum. But that is just my humble beginner opinion.
Good Luck at finding the right gear.
Blessings and Joy on your Journey,
Bliss

I'd agree with the above posters here and recommend a Vision Spinner, or a Smoktech Winder, as the settings are easy to see, and you have the ability to fine tune your vape. Again, the Evod's use the same coil heads as the Protank 2, so they essentially vape the same, but the Protank 2 is made of glass, and you have the ability to fully disassemble it, so that's a plus. The Protank 3 is not necessarily an upgrade from the 2, so I'd steer folks clear from those. Here's an interesting video, from one of my favorite reviewers, that you should check out about tanks, very good food for thought.

I have only been vaping for about 3 months and already I have an EVOD [my first purchase], an eGo spinner vv that I really don't often change the voltage on [I keep it at 4.3] and another eGo clone 600 battery that I like for the light weight and portability. I have a couple vivo tanks and a couple pro tanks, both mini and large, to go with the batteries. I decided to get a Kanger 100 because I like the look and wanted to try a mod and that seemed an easy to use one to start with. Which set up I grab depends on what flavor I am in the mood for since I keep different flavors in each tank. I do tend to favor the mod and the spinner while at home, seems the vapor and flavor is a bit better. My problem is I feel like I have a lot of money invested in this stuff already and I keep seeing new things I want to try!

I started with the same kit as you and have moved into using the Kanger VV's now. I would definitely go that route. You don't HAVE to change the voltage at all and just set it for 3.7 the way your current battery is, but at least you have the option to change the voltage if you wish.

I use mine with: the evod, the protank and the protank mini. All work great with it. I also just bought some evod style glass tanks but haven't gotten those in yet to give you feedback on it.

I am really happy with the standard kanger, but the kanger vv gives me the ability to warm things up a bit with something like my Custards Last Stand juice....and the flavor really comes out that way. It would not taste as wonderful if I just used the standard setting.

If your planning on staying with Ego style batteries then I would suggest you step up to a Variable voltage/wattage style. Some have screens or just twist the bottom to increase voltage but to move to the next level of vaping, controlling the voltage or wattage is the way go. From there you can tailor your vape to how hot you like it to how much throat hit you want and to do so on many many different devices that may take different voltages.

As for the pro tank 3, its a duel coil so you would want a higher voltage anyhow to get that pumping good vapor.

No matter what you decide do what works best for you so you can stay off the real thing and live a healthier life!

You're in the exact same boat as me, two months ago. I now own 2 mods and 2 APV's plus the twist I started with.

I would steer clear of PT3 right now. They are pretty hit or miss. PT2 minis are a solid bet. Discount vapers has their own version of a BCC which is pretty nice. I've got one in the mail.

You won't notice much of a difference with a 1000 mah Ego/Evod though you will with an MVP2 but it's VV.

If you want more vapor, you'll have to learn to build coils or jump into APV's like the MVP2 or Vamo 5.
