For me the upgrade frenzy was to quit smoking. I had to have something that kicked me in the neck like smoking a grape swisher. Then I upgraded to get that same vape with longer battery life. it is certainly part hobby and part smoking cessation at this point. The holidays and bdays will keep me in check until january. Then I am hoping a reo will cure me for a while.

Well frankzuber, that is a loaded question. The best answer is exactly what you wrote, "stick with what works". You will get tons of opinions. My opinion, if you decide to upgrade, would be a Kayfun Lite and Vamo V6. The only real reason to upgrade (unless you are a gadget freak like me) is for the flavor. I didn't believe it at first but upgrading my battery and going to RBA drippers and tanks really allowed me to dial in my own preferences and get what is for me the best flavor from the e-liquid. Find your zone and go with that. That's my advice.

Personally I would suggest the same battery style mod you are using, just with VW. Watts are a much nicer way to adjust and I have to have it now. try a VW ego style battery and say a nautilus original 5ml tank. Sounds like it would be in your comfort zone yet still be an upgrade. also check out indoorsmokers on youtube, He does reviews on everything non-rebuildable and is trusted.

For me I upgraded from an ego to the VTR. I did this because I wanted to see the difference. There was a difference and now I am wanting to try another type of upgrade soon because I am sure there is better yet. The ego just doesn't cut it anymore. However if the ecig you have is working for you and you have no desire to try out an upgrade then that's okay. The main thing is you have been smoke free :)

Hi everyone. Currently using a 1000 mah vv kanger battery with a mini protank 3. Haven't smoked in 3 months so this setup is doing is job. My question is why would I change my setup like everyone seems to do. I don't understand the clones and mods. I was thinking about getting a bigger tank just to eliminate the numerous refills everyday. What setup should I try next or should I just stick with what works?

3 months.

I'd say:

1: Stick with what works.
2: get another miniprotank3; or 2; or 3.
Instead of refilling during the day, just put on the next tank already filled, maybe with a different flavor.

.....
I gotta add though; if you want to look at cost, then after 3 months it might be time to consider a replaceable battery tube which uses standard 18650 batteries instead of buying ego type batteries every few months. Your ego batteries are going to degrade over time and somewhere along the line they're going to start failing; they'll run out faster; for me it was about 3 to 4 months in. I had about 6 ego type batteries.

I say if it works, you're good. but you might need another battery and tank. helps to have a spare.

I started with a 650mah ego twist and a disposable entry-level tank. then needed another battery. then i wanted tanks that would last longer and i could change the coils. got a CE4 class tank. then i wanted a better tank. got a few Evod2's and a mini-protank 3 and the flavor difference was incredible. Then needed a bigger battery (because one of the other two always seemed to be on the charger) and got an 1100mah. then i decided the tanks were too small so i got a couple of GeniTanks and a couple of Aerotanks (all used the same coils as the Evods). Still had batteries charging all the time (dual coils) so I picked up an Evod 1300mah VV and an Aspire CF VV 1600mah. That held up for a few weeks. Then I went to a sale at a local vape shop and they had an MVP2 for sale for $45. Couldn't resist. LOVE it. Today i was in my favorite shop to pick up more Kanger coils and they mentioned they just got in a shipment of Nautilus Minis with the vertical coils. Again, couldn't resist. I've read too much on here about them and wanted to try one. So my tally so far is 6 batteries, 4 working tanks, 1 new tank, 8 spares and all the liquids I've accumulated.

You should never feel obligated to upgrade anything if it works. With the exception of the Nautilus, all my upgrades served a purpose - longer battery life, better functional and bigger tanks, etc. The guys at the shop keep telling me it won't be long until I'm building my own coils. I keep telling them that's not where I expect to go. I just don't want to smoke any more and I'm not a cloud chaser. Maybe some day, but not now. Right now I consider my upgrades just tweaking/tuning my vaping.

If what you have works for you, great. If you want to tune yours a bit, the options are endless.

Why not?? lmao. Stay where one is at if satisfied, I only upgraded to an rba and mod, when went in search of that something missing in me vape. Found the missing part and more.

Why get a new car, tv, computer, anything, frak why did everyone go to color tv, b&w worked fine. :D:lol: well, mainly because I could and wanted to.

The better the gear, the better ones skills, knowledge and experience, the better the Vape. I no longer upgrade, do look for gear that will enhance and improve my vape, and if found, may add it to the "collection", but it's not an upgrade or a backup, it's hording and collecting mode that has been activated.

Vape isn't just a alternative to smoking, chew, or over eating, it's a sport, hobby, collectors paradise, and an enthusiasts domain. Also, in my view, having an excellent collection is the best way to insure that the fda, and BT, can't take my vape from me. Least not without a fight and protecting with my 5th amendment right. or something like that.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!
