All of this week I had been looking forward to receiving my PR110 starter kit from Premium E-Cigarette as my first electronic cigarette. It finally arrived in the mail yesterday. After unpacking all of the contents and reading the user's manual I began to charge my battery and electronic charging pack (ECP). When I attached the battery to the USB charger the orange LED on the battery DID blink 3 times. After several hours both the pack and battery appeared to be done charging (Green lights on both LEDs). I decided to give it a try and attached a cartomizer to the battery.

During inhalation the orange LED on the end of the battery shuts off after about a second and no vapor is created. I tried with another cartomizer to see if that was the problem, but the same thing occurred. I figured the battery may needed to be charged even longer. When plugging the battery back into the USB charger the LED on the battery no longer blinks 3 times and the LED on the charger stays a solid orange. When attached to the wall charger the USB charger LED stays green while the wall charger LED stays a solid orange. I also tried using the ECP to charge the battery. I screw the battery into the port and hold the button on the front of the ECP. The ECP LED blinks between green and blue, then after about 5 seconds it turns to a solid red. The solid red light stays on for only about 2 seconds then the ECP turns off completely.

I followed the included instructions in the manual and charged both the battery and ECP for several hours. Could the problem be the battery, or possibly the USB charger? This is my first e-cig so I am unfamiliar with an details surrounding this sort of troubleshooting.

So sorry your first experience with vaping has turned into a major disappointment! :( First question would be, "What about the other battery?", but I'm guessing you ordered their personal charger kit that comes with only one battery . . .

I'm not familiar with Premium E-Cigarette specifically, and someone may come along with more experience with this particular e-cig. The steps you described in charging and troubleshooting sound correct - to me - but again, I'm no expert. Sounds like something wrong with the battery. Suggest you contact the seller to confirm and possibly arrange for replacement.

Hope you won't let this minor speed bump detour turn into a roadblock! Check out the forum for lots of information on other users' reliability experiences with various brands of e-cigs.

Thank you guys for considering my thread. I have already left an e-mail with the company and I plan on calling them shortly. A terrible "update" has occurred. I figured I would try another computer's USB port just to eliminate that option of troubleshooting. When connecting the battery to the USB charger the final twist caused the metal contact in the charger to break apart from the wires. While trying to remove the battery the entire metal contact came out of the charger attached to the battery. I don't want to give up on Premium just yet. They do have an award for customer service. Hopefully I will just become another satisfied customer when it comes to getting the battery and USB charger replaced. I did follow the printed instructions so I believe that stays within the 90-day warranty.

I just got off the phone with a customer service representative from Premium E-Cig. She stated that there is a current issue with some of the USB/AC charging units they have been packing in their kits. The first charge will work properly, but a secondary charge will damage the battery. This is only about a week old and more calls have been made between yesterday and today on this issue. Their current solution is a corded AC charger (no USB option) to replace the current chargers as well as a battery replacement. If possible another user or admin should post this on a technical thread or a Premium thread.

On a second note, the representative was extremely polite. They were able to access my information from my order AND my e-mail within a matter of seconds. In the time it took to type up the first paragraph of this post they have already sent an e-mail saying the package was "shipped" with First Class mail. Fortunately they are located within the same state so I hope that means about 3 business days. So far I am happy with their ability to address the issue and help me out. I look forward to writing a review of the products once I get it in working order.

Good news about the customer service and getting a replacement. Not familiar at all with Premium but prompt action / service from any company is always a good sign that the company cares about it's reputation. Do follow up in this thread when you receive the replacement so others can benefit should they decide to go the same route as you did. Thanks!

Hi stvnvrgs, Welcome to the forum. I went to the Premium website to take a look at your kit. Here is my take....I don't care how "nice" they might have been on the phone with you, they are selling a kit for twice the amount that most of the ECF suppliers sell them for. In addition, they only sell you prefilled cartridges. A big part of the savings for the e-cigarette user is in buying juice and filling the cartridges themselves. The fact that they don't even offer that option, makes me think that they are more in the business of making money than offering the best smoking alternative that they can. I encourage you to check out some of the suppliers websites here. I bought a very similar kit to the one you have now from Madvapes for around $30. Liberty Flights has a sale going on right now for a Riva for $29.00 (you have to click on the 15% off BEFORE your order to get this price). The Riva is a great little workhorse with 3 times the battery life that a mini (your model) has.

I also encourage you to look into getting a manual battery (the batteries with the buttons). The automatic batteries have a lot more problems than the manuals do. Best of Luck!

Welcome to ECF! I hope you have good luck with your first kit. Please don't get discouraged if you encounter problems with it. There are a number of different choices out there, many people start out with one kit but upgrade to a different device as they become more comfortable with vaping. There is a lot to learn, and finding this forum is the first step. Read the information for new members and watch the videos when you have a chance.

Good luck!

Thank you for all of the info. This is just my first try with an electronic cigarette. If I stick with it and plan on upgrading then I look towards using the juice. It was a little intimidating at first, so I was looking for something simple to start off with. I realize the price isn't the cheapest, but I was comparing to products similar to Blu. Thank you for the info and I plan on being a returning forum member.
