New product idea for V4L

I would buy empty V4L carts

  • I'd buy them if they were cheaper than prefilled

  • I'd be buying even at the same price as prefilled

  • I'd only buy them even if they cost more than prefilled

  • I'd still buy prefilled as well as them

  • I'd buy juice from V4L to use in them

  • I'd buy juice from other vendors to use in them

People wanted me to point out - you can choose multiple options - chose all that apply to you
Gah, I let terrible grammar slip into my poll, remade the options about 3 times, and can't figure out how to edit it, so:
I'd only buy them even if they cost more than prefilled
should be
I'd only buy them even if they cost more than prefilled
also:
I'd still buy prefilled as well as them
should simply be
I'd still buy prefilled as well as them
So it doesnt imply people who only select this option would get the empties as well, but people who select both, mean both :)

Note to self: next time plan the poll out before starting the post.

Now, for the actual post:

OK. This refilling carto's thing I've been looking into, and I've tried washing out old ones and refilling, and while that works fine, there's still a slight crossover of flavour, etc.
So I went looking for where I can get empty carts.
Well. Not a lot out there that I could find, and also, those I could find weren't really any cheaper and are all like beige or black or whatever.

Anyhows, the idea is this:

I don't know how V4L produces their carts. They might just bulk order them and slap their labels on, or they might get them empty, fill them and slap labels on (hopefully the latter)

The thing is, I'd love to buy empty carts from V4L, along with the juices, along with V4L labels - just coloured with the V4L logo, no name or MG necessary.
Also, I don't know how much assembly is done at teh factory - I pulled a cart apart and it seems the padding is added with the atomizer which is all welded into place, meaning that the only 'assembly' needed would be to put in the rubber and plastic plugs, which is ideal.

If Steve made available packs of 5, 10, 20 empty carts, that came with an assortment of coloured label stickers (or were pre-labeled) who here would be interested in purchasing them?

There is the rub. The juice from a 20ml bottle could go further than the cartos can go for some people. You also could have yourself covered should the pre-filled run out. Having liquid, filled cartos and blanks is the best of all scenarios.

Can't see myself purchasing any of the items from someone else due to Steve's quality, flavor, customer service, ethics. (need I go on?) Besides I haven't found any other vendor that comes close.

I would not buy them if they cost more than prefilled. Steve has thousands of blanks stuck in customs. He orders tons at a time. I have no idea what his cost is, but he did say when he receives them our cost would be reasonable.

Honestly I prefer to fill blanks. That way I know what I am putting into them and the amount of juice. A blank carto holds about 30 drops of juice...yes I know the size of the drops can make a difference as well as temp...and so on. But anyway this amounts to about 1ml.

The most ideal solution would be if Steve could sell various types of kits...like including juice with the blanks for example. Of course I always want the option of blanks only and while I am a V4L fanboy, I have tried juice from another vendor and have no problem trying others. It's just natural to be curious.

And speaking of curiosity...I think the most awesome kits Steve could offer would be the "mix your own stuff". This is an avenue I want to explore as it looks fairly easy, however certain cautions need to be taken. There is pleanty of info in another section of this forum on how to do it. Of course Steve might as well wait until we get Judge Leon's ruling on the FDA deal.

Finally, I am sure there must be a way to redesign the carto's so they don't burn out. They might cost a bit more but it would be worth it. From what I have been reading and my own experience, the batting will last a long time.

I missed what the rub was...
I'd probably actually still buy prefilled, but I like the idea of being able to make my own flavour combinations, and to be able to buy, say, 10 empties and 10 5ml bottles of juice, and refill each cart with one flavour till either the juice or the cart runs out, and buy more of whichever is needed - Also, I could buy say, 5 bottles of juice and 10 empties, and as I burn one out, which will probably be long before the juice runs out (I don't really expect to get more than a couple of refills out of a cart) I can grab a new fresh empty cart, that I don't need to wash, or find a complementing flavour, or wonder if it's already half burned out, whack the right colour label on it, and continue on.

Actually, I think my main perk out of this is that I could simply 'get' whatever flavour cart I wanted out of teh juices I have, without needing to worry about washing or the lifespan or how used the cart is, as I'd know it was a brand new clean one, and I don't mind spending a minute filling a cart, I just mind the wondering in the back of my head as I'm refilling of if it's going to taste right, due to burnout or mixing, or bad washing, etc. :p
Thats why I don't even care if the empties are cheaper or not, same price is fine for me, I just want the simplicity and purity of it, and i want it from Steve, in full colour :)

THank goodness you can make more then one selection on that poll! You might want to put that in the poll description to choose all that you would do :)

I can't edit the poll, or i'd clarify the wording on a couple of options, but yeah, halfway through it i realised it needed to have 'pick multiples' options, and also that multiple picks format would give V4L more useable data.

But you can edit your first post...put it in bold at the top of your post...this is one of the best polls I have seen..lol

Nice job on the poll.
I probably would buy some blanks if they were less. I would be more interested in buying blanks that last longer and pay more. Like the green-cig carts, as I understand it they do not burn out (correct me if I'm wrong please). Filling is a bit of a pain but if you do many at one sitting it wouldn't be that bad.

Oh crap! Just when I was about to make another edit noting that there was more than one answer that could both be correct.

NOW you tell me.

Yeah, I'd pay a premium for 'premium' carts also, in fact I currently feel I am paying a (small) premium for the quality assurance of the carts, which is similar. (ie. I know if I get a bad cart from V4L I'll be replaced no hassles)

As for Steve being able to supply empties cheaper, sure, I'd like to think so, and that'd be preferred, but you need to remember the overhead. this means more stuff they have to juggle, more options, more hassle in getting a package ready to go out, and time is money, so it may end up costing them just as much, and if it did, then I'd still pay the same as prefilled for them rather than have to go elsewhere to get them.
But yeah, cheaper would definitely be better.

That was essentially "the rub". You could easily have 2 of the choices, (juice and cartos and pre-filled is one I can think of). That would have made more sense to me. Voted before I realized I could pick multiples.

You could have left out the "cost more"

Yeah, poss has been up about 30m now and I already want to delete it all and redo it with a little more clarity, but I think most people are getting the general idea, and hoping it might be enough to give Steve an idea of if this is a product/service worth offering, cause aside for empties and I guess empty bottles/droppers/syringes or whatever, I can get all I need here, and I like shopping here which is saying something for me. I'm a web developer, I've written more carts and payment gateway integrations and online catalogs, etc than I like to think about, and I hate shopping online. To date I've made 1 purchase from amazon.com, 2 from newegg.com, and 3 from V4L, with plans to make more from V4L. (and a million fake testing purchases to test my other carts, but they don't count) Anyhows, It took a lot of reading here to convince me to trust V4L (cynic that I am) and I don't want to have to try out anyone else :p
I may even start several more polls for V4L to start selling other stuff I need. Bread and milk, for starters. And ground turkey by the pound.:p
