After using my prefilled stock for sometime. I've gotten into filling my own blank cool carts. I have a bunch, so I might as well use them. I have noticed that they don't crackle like the prefilleds, and I'm guessing this may be related to the juice I'm using. Actually, many of them are near dead silent or produce a faint almost unnoticeable sizzle, some give a pop now and then, but they do vape well. It's kind of weird, because I'm using a lot of sticky sweet juice. All my bottled juices are in the 36 - 24mg range, and I'm not sure if that would affect anything (my prefilled's from V4L were all 36mg, so it shouldn't).

The bottled juice I'm using is not V4L juice, but various flavors from TW (a highly reputable British juice vendor) and EM (a Chinese juice vendor of who knows what kind of quality control), maybe that has something to do with it that they are not V4L juices and therefore not specifically brewed for the KR808. Anyway, it's still a mystery why my blanks don't crackle the same way.

I'll tell you that the way I've been filling my carts has been popping the rubber end off and dripping into them, then putting the rubber end back on and standing them upright for an hour (battery end up), then standing them the other way upright (battery end down) overnight (so the excess juice drips out the bottom). Then in the morning I put the condom caps on them and add them to my filled-for-the-first-time pile.

I like the idea of knowing what I put in my carts, so I think I'll keep filling blanks for now, and conducting more tests as to how different juices vape. If anyone has experience in this realm or sees a way I could improve my technique, then please do share what you know.

I've noticed that when refilling, they don't hold as much juice and don't last so long. So I don't really take refilled carts with me to work during the day. I only vape refills during the night when I'm at home when I'm not worried about running out of juice, thus I go through a lot of new carts on a daily basis. What can I do to improve my technique? All suggestions welcome.

If by blank carts you mean the ones you clean, then no they don't crackle...BUT if you buy brand new blank cool carts and fill them up they should, about 2 out of 3 of mine crackle and pop when new blanks! Also on refills I get half a condom in there, new ones I can fit like 2/3 a condom, are you using the spin method, if not that would help A LOT!

Yeah, I mean new fresh blank cool carts. No I'm not using the spin method. You think it really makes a difference if I spin it? I've done the Terrence spin before, but didn't think it made any difference, so I stopped. You think that would add some more crackle if I spun them. I was guessing it was a juice related issue. I was thinking to put some carts I fill in the freezer after I fill them, and then defrost them and try to vape them and see what that does. Any other folks got any suggestions?

Yes the Tayrn spin makes a world of difference. You won't have to wait for the juice to go to the bottom, the tayrn spin actually forces it to the bottom so you won't have to wait to vape at all.

I love the spin method on these cool carts.
If I use the drop method, I put 20 or so drops in, spin it, then add another 8-10 more drops.
If I use the condom method, I put 28 drops in the condom, spin it, and it's ready to use.
The spin method helps to get more fluid in the carts, even if they've been used before.

Also I have noticed that some of the "older" liquid inside the cart will come out the battery end (it is a darker color then new), and this is ONLY with the spin method, which I like due to the fact it kinda some what cleans, if you would like to say that, the cart and fills it up!

edit - I rubber band some paper around the battery side to catch the flying juice and that is how I have noticed, honestly you should stick some thing on the end so that liquid doesn't fly around your room!

I usually just put the .... plug on the battery end, but I might have to try a paper towel or something to see if I can catch some old juice out of it....good idea!

Well, I'm getting 38 - 40 drops in a cool cart without the spin. I'm talking about crackle here. I don't think the spin is related to it. I mean the juice has got to absorb in the filler wether you spin the cart or not. Taking your time dripping doesn't require a spin. I mean the filler's gonna absorb what it can absorb and the rest will either drip out our go into your mouth.

The spin works for packing juice in a cart quickly or for refilling, but I don't use it to fill a true blank.

Crackle and pop really doesn't matter truthfully. I get it with some of them and I don't get it with others. As long as it is vaping well I don't worry about it at all. I was just trying to point out that you won't need to put the cart upside down and then put stand it on its other end over night if you spin.

Just as poisonette said, you put about 20 drops in spin, and then another 10, spin, and I usually top off from there until you can see a puddle. Sometimes you will need to blow out any excess, but once you get the hang of the spin and everything you won't usually have any excess.

When you spin it it is pushing the juice into the filler, so it absorbs at that point. Refilling is like anything else. Do what works for you. I have used all kinds of method in the past, and I have found what works for me in different situations. I usually just drip then spin, but if I'm time crunched I do a condom fill and then spin which saves me a lot of time, but it is a bit messier.

I stand it overnight because i want the juice to absorb into the very center of the filler before i vape it. The spin works well on refills with some juice already in them I think. As for completely dry blanks, i think some absorbtion time is important. Am I wrong?

I use mine right away after filling, no wait time. No issues at all. Ive done the spin, but dont bother with it anymore. I can easily get 30-35 drops on a blank with no spin, just a tap or thermometer shake if its slow to absorb.

I usually just drip then spin

Okay, I decided to go ahead and try the spin again. I dripped30 drops, then I spun, then I took off the white end cap and looked, and the cotton was white. then another 10 drops, then I spun again, then I looked and the cotton was white again, then another 10 drops, then I spun again, this time the cotton was not white, so I figured it was full. I got 50 drops in there! The size of the drops I'm using have got to be smaller than everyone else. I couldn't believe it. I still don't think this is ready to vape just like this, since it is a blank. I still feel some absorption time is necessary. I'm gonna let the cart stand battery side up, and try to vape it in a few hours.

It is absorbed in there and ready to vape. Think of a sponge that you put on top of the water. It will take awhile to soak water in if you just set it on top of the water. But if you push it to the bottom of the sink, the water soaks in a lot faster.

Wow! 50 drops in a cart using the spin multiple times. Just tried vaping and that cart has lasted the longest one of my carts has ever lasted; even longer than the prefilled carts. I'm always gonna spin twice from now on, let it sit a few hours and then put the plastic condoms back on the cart for when I need it. Amazing! I'm impressed! I think filling blanks is the way to go!
