New ProTank 3 and a question

Greetings,

Tomorrow I'm receiving the PT3 and I'd like to know if it's recommended to clean and dry burn it before using it for the first time.

And just for reference I clean my Mini PT by soaking the parts in a cheap vodka for a while, set out parts to air dry, etc.

Don't dry burn. They are clean when you get them. There is a middle cotton wick that will fry if you dry burn it.

nope.. the middle wick is silica..

no need to dryburn if its brand new

To certain extent yes.. pulse its fine.. don't hold red hot for long time that will burn the rubber grommet...

Did that first time I tried dry burning.. oops.. lol

I usually pulse it til the all the coils light up red and the wick is back to white in color.

I wasn't sure if there was any residue on the parts-kinda like washing your veggies and fruit bought from the store.
