Just got my Provari last week and I like it so far but one problem I'm having is using the Dual-Coil LR 1.5o Cartomizers from Puresmoker that I had been using with my Prodigy. I've been getting E2 errors when using it at anything above 3.8 or 3.9 volts and I'm not really satisfied with the throat hit since I was doing 6v with these on the Prodigy.

I ordered some Standard Resistance 3ohm Boge Carto's but I'm worried that they won't have the same throat hit as the LR dual coils that I've been using. Can anyone recommend a good Carto that I can use on the Provari at 5-6v for a strong throat hit? Clear coloring is a plus.

Thanks for your help.

Bobby, I am curious as to wether or not you have the new V2 Provari they are selling now that has the lower amp ranges ?

I also use a Prodigy at 6 volts so I am especially interested in how you like your Provari as I am really close to ordering one myself, just waiting on the blue led to come back next month.

They have a 2.5 amp limiter. 2.5 amps X 1.5 ohms = a max voltage of 3.75. The provari will give you an E1 error if you try to exceed the 2.5 amp limit. It's doing what it is supposed to do.

I'd definitely recommend some boges in a 3 ohm resistance for your provari. You can take it all the way up to 6 volts.

Some more quick math for you: with your 3.7 volts X 3.7 volts = 13.69 divided by 1.5 ohms gives you a total of 9.1 watts.
If you use boges at 6 volts X 6 volts = 36 divided by 3 ohms, you'll see 12 watts. That much heat will give you a killer throat hit.

I thought it said V2 when I ordered it but from what others have said I guess it is a V1. So far I like it more than the Prodigy. I much prefer the Side button on the Provari instead of the mechanical spring button on the bottom of the Prodigy (I was having problems with the button not making proper contact with the batteries when I first got the Prodigy). The digital display with all the info is a nice bonus and the unit itself feels very rugged and sturdy like it will last a long time. Aside from the finicky error messages, I would recommend the Provari. Just keep in mind that I've only had it for about a week now and my only other PV's were the eGo and the Prodigy so this is a pretty big step up both in the features and the price.

As to the Carto's, thanks for the suggestions guys. It sounds like I should be satisfied with the 3ohm Boges that will be arriving in the next couple of days.

I use the dual coil 2.0s from hoosier at Cartomizers I run them at 5.3 and have no problems with any e2 errors. He will also be carrying the 2.5 ohm duals in the next week or so. My second provari also came today and it has the higher amp allowance which will allow you to use the 1.5 dual coils as well.
