New Provari V2 Black Satin owner - My first Provari

I have only been vaping 3 and half weeks but I knew early on that I would not be satisfied till I had a Provari of my own. I placed the order on Jul 20 and got it today Aug 1st. Black Satin V2 with Blue LED and extended cap. Machining is immaculate on it. The look and feel are incredible in the hand. I have large hands so ordered the extension cap and 18650 batteries with it. Gives it just the right length for my hand size. Only two things I am not thrilled with, one which I already knew is the button on the opposite side from the display. I like to use my thumb for the button and would have strongly preferred them to be on the same side.

The second I did not know about but probably should have. The extension cap is just all black. You lose the beautiful brushed stainless on the bottom that matches and goes so well with the top cap. Very disappointed in this but again i should have known before ordering it. It's not like there aren't plenty of pictures and videos out there showing it. For what the cap cost, it should match like the original bottom cap.

Overall I still love it though. It just oozes quality in a way that you just have to feel to understand.

My wife got a Starfire L-tube 2.0 and it is a nice little device for the money for sure and much nicer than I expected. I would highly recommend it as a back up but it just doesn't compare with the feel and quality of the Provari.

I think the weight of it, the fit and finish are what I find most impressive initially.

Congrats on getting your ProVari Ratman! I have the exact one, with the extension cap as well... LOVE IT!!! Can't wait for the white one to come out!

I agree with you about the extension caps. I have 3 black Provari's and have extensions for each but never use them. I like the looks of the stainless custom end-cap on the bottom. When I got my 1st one, I thought it would have been 'nice' if the extension was just a sleeve that screwed into the bottom of the tube and the end-cap screwed into the bottom of the sleeve. This would have kept the SS accent at the bottom of the Provari.

Welcome to the world of ProVari!!! I have been vaping for 11 months and had my eye on ProVari for quite a while and finally got my first a month and a half ago, same as yours.

The ext cap color has not crossed my mind till I read this. I totally see your point and think it has validity. But even if they offered a matching SS end cap I think I would stick with the matching color.

I have owned 4 Lavatubes and the last one being chrome. Price was the main factor at first, as well as not sure if VV would be that big of deal. But once you go VV you never go back! And once you go ProVari all others collect dust!

The Provari's quality of machining is much better than the China mass produced, no comparison. The electronics in the ProVari also far exceed what you get with anything else, VV should not mean as the batt charge drops so does the voltage output. Having metered both ProVari shines!!

It goes to show that made in the USA means something! Quality, style and performance is at the heart of each ProVari! I am fortunate to live in Washington, home of ProVape, I got to meet Dave, one of the owners, and knowing that genuine people created ProVari makes it even better!

Finally, the only backup to the ProVari is another one. So that is why I have a Black Satin Blue LED Mini on order, should be here today or tomorrow!

Grats ratman.... my black chrome provari is the 2nd mod I bought, over a year ago...also my first VV. I got to try others out to be sure, that some of my friends or aquaintances have, but i liked the size, heft, safety features and then some, of the provari. that black chrome one is now my backup for the black satin w/ green led I have now...and will have a black satin mini w/ green led coming in the future (silver satin mini w/ red led) with old mini being backup as well... having many many other PV's, some still here, some given or sold, the 'vari without a doubt is my favorite... I have the extended caps for all 3 for 'just in case', but, I also have the skull collector's edition caps on all 3 and have been using them in that way since day one for each...i also prefer to see the shiny polished SS caps on both ends...gives them a bit more class
